A new question on the old one. Is it possible to set the object value of AUTHENTICATED_USER. The Dokumentation says it is not possible. Would this site perchance be on UTC-5 or UTC+5 ? If so, it's probably just that the TZ env var isn't being set inside the environment that Zope's running inside. So it's falling back to UTC. (now if someone can explain to me why VisaNet returns results that are sometimes in UTC and sometimes in some local timezone, seemingly at random, then I'd be happy...)

If you are able to restart Zope, run it in debug mode and see what happens. In debug mode, messages sent to the log system are displayed on the console. ZopeTime() not matching system time.

Yo. On one of my sites, I am stuffing a database field with a datetime. However, for some reason, the return form ZopeTime() seems to be almost 5 hours off. This is on the latest and greatest Zope running on Linux. Both browser and serve rar eon the same machine, TZ is set accordingly in the system, and all other aspects of the system keep time perfectly (synced with nist). For curiousity, I popped open a shell, and tried a DateTime.now() from within the interpreter, and it returned the correct time. Again, sorry. I used the __init.py from Products/photo/install_PIL. I've actually never used anything else. As the giant says to the Sicilian, "I don't think that word means what you think it means," or in this case, that tag. The <dtml-let> tag is really just syntactic sugar for <dtml-with "_.namespace( ..." )> -- it constructs a new, *readonly* namespace, populated with the values you supply in the tag's attributes, and pushes that namespace on top of the DTML namespace stack. This new namespace softly and silently vanishes away at the </dtml-in>, leaving no trace that it ever existed. You should also be aware that this let namespace interacts oddly with calls to other DTML methods -- in fact, I haven't quite figured out how to make them play nice together. Phil Eby, who contributed the let tag, has an extension, <dtml-set>, which allows for replacing values in the let namespace -- this extension has not been accepted into the Zope core, however, as it was held to facilitate "DTML abusee". Zclass bug

Hi, Is the Zclass bug going to be fixed in the next release of Zope? The bug I am referring to is the arcane way of having to 'change' a factory when no change has been made when you are creating Zclasses within Zclasses. Or is this already done or perhaps there is another way that fellow Zopists are creating workable Zclasses within Zclasses. TIA, T
