i'm confused on the implementation of ZPublisher's HTTPResponse object. I am currently using the HTTPReponse's write method to return data from the Zope server to the client browser as opposed to returning a string at the end of my published method. Streamed output using HTTPResponse.write works fine when using Netscape, but fails in Internet Explorer. I've tracked the problem down to the fact that Netscape doesn't mind receiving a "content-length" header of 0, whereas unforgiving Explorer flat out fails. I tried to workaround this by supplying the content-length, but to no avail. My content-length header is removed (this is done in HTTPReponse's write method) and the content-length returned is still 0. Why is the content-length header removed? Is there a way to get streamed output working under Internet Explorer?

Accents (ISO Latin) cannot be searched with ZCatalog..

I was very disappointed on my first try with ZCatalog when I noticed that it cannot properly index documents containing european accents.. The search engine I installed is of course unusable because it cannot find a large number of words in the indexed documents. I am running Zope 2.0.1, Python 1.5.2 and to install ZCatalog I followed the instructions in the ZCatalog howto. How can I correct this problem? simple news ZClass categories

Hi everyone, We've got a simple (yet elegant :-) news ZClass for our site at school. It allows someone to post an article and have it displayed in a Slashdot-esque style. There are a number of different categories for the articles. I'm going to assign different users resonsibility for the different categories. Session Management

Hi, I guess I don't understand session management, and need some help. I'm using the FSSession tool and have things configured like this: Root/ SubFolder1 SubFolder2 SubFolder3 FSSession index_html index_html initializes the FSSession object. The docs say I should just put it in my standard_html_header, but if it gets rexecuted I get an error message, so I put it in index_html using the following: <dtml-unless "_.has_key('FSSession')"> <dtml-call FSSession> </dtml-unless> This appears to work very nicely, as I make extensive use of it in SubFolder1. However, I found a need to display a form in SubFolder2 from SubFolder1 and use a session key that was set in SubFolder1. It didn't work, I couldn't figure out why until I printed the FSSession object while using the SubFolder2 form. It was empty. I guess I don't understand this, the FSSession object is in the root folder, it is initialized in my index_html in the root folder, why doesn't SubFolder2 inherit the FSSession from the root? structured text : paras and lists not working ?

I am having a small problem with using structured text. Specifically I have a form with a text area form element that gathers entered text, i.e. <textarea name="body" cols=60 rows=5></textarea> and enters it along with some other arguments into an MySQL database using an sql method, like so : INSERT INTO announcements (announceID, course, timestamp, body, posted_by, date) VALUES (NULL, , NULL, , , ); I then display the text in another file like this :  I can get every structured text element to work (including *italics*, **bold**, _underlined_ etc...) but the paragraph and lists are not working. e.g. this text : - test - test will be rendered as : - test - test The carriage returns are being entered into the database, and are still here when I get the text out, but the fmt=structured-text doesn't seem to be recognizing the carriage returns or any of the list 'tags'.
