Steve, would there still be a need for a html form, presented to the user, to be previously filled out, before the "call" method will work? I have just tried to make it a simple as possible, but if I have a step too much, please have a look and tell me: http://groucho.med.yale.edu:8080/lamdi/database/gadfly_demo/manage Maybe somebody will tell me why in the above example it is possible for anonymous to insert data , but when anonymous queries the database, a password is needed? I thought that both are "Database Methods" and would be covered under the security settings with the same item "Use Database Methods"? In a Python Product, the Product class declares a class member, manage_options, which is a tuple of dictionaries, each describing a tab. Question re manage_users

Hi, I'm calling this method after setting the folwloing attributes in the REQUEST var. and then calling the manage_users method. <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('name',summary['user_name'])"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('password',summary['password'])"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('confirm',summary['password'])"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('roles', 'Manager')"> <dtml-call "acl_users.manage_users('Add', REQUEST, RESPONSE)"> It creates the account but gives me the following error when I try to manage the account: Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: TypeError Error Value: string member test needs char left operand. Does any one have any idea what I'm doing wrong? If I remove the role setting and then call the manage_users method, the account is created but it does not have the managers role. Thanks for any info.. SQL input form

Hi everyone, I've got Ross's PostgreSQL DA installed and working. Now I'm working on creating a form so I can insert records into the database through the Web. The ZSQL method tests out perfectly, I just need a form. The Z Search Interface wizard works great for generating forms to retrieve data, I just wish there was one to generate forms for putting data in. I thought I could cheat by looking at the HTML for the SQL test form. Here's what I get in the <form> portion (qry_insert_alum is my ZSQL method): <form action="http://www.mysite.foo/qry_insert_alum/manage_test" method="get"> I doubt that 'manage_test' is really the action that I want. Sending mail from zope?

Hi all I understand that it is possible to have Zope send automatic mail when say a resource does not exist. Is it possible to do it when a URL is requested that does not exist and can anybody point me to the documentation. Thanks Steve
