If "record_info" is indead a DTML document (and not a method!), then you should nevertheless be able to access "LookupPrinter" by acquisition. I do not know, why it does not work. finding by which object uses which methods

Hi, Has somebody created a tool which can tell all the objects which uses a specified object? eg. ask zope to return a list of objects which use standard_html_footer. This tool would come handy to me... perhaps to others also. So if you've created it for yourself, perhaps you want to share it to us? Tom.

zmxodbc error

After installing the zmxodbc package I get the following error when I try and add a zmxodbc object from the management screen: Error Type: NameError Error Value: SQLDataSources I moved the mx directory from /lib/python/shared to /lib/python. What else needs to be done? A previous thread asked this same question without a response. Hi Steve, I've made my experiment simple, by playing with the DumbZPatterns examples, testing one rack under one specialist. Here is the skinscript: WITH Deliverables.getItem(self.id) COMPUTE name=name, dueDate=dueDate, description=description, todoIDs=todoIDs WITH SELF COMPUTE name=name, dueDate='1973/01/01', description='unknown achee', todoIDs=[] The virtual instance is loaded by accessing attribute of 'name'. I thought any calls for inexistent objects in Deliverables would turn out default values. Yet the test result turned out an not_found error. The following modification (change to 'otherwise' clause) didn't make a difference: WITH Deliverables.getItem(self.id) COMPUTE name=name, dueDate=dueDate, description=description, todoIDs=todoIDs OTHERWISE LET name='unknown', dueDate='1973/01/01', description='unknown achee', todoIDs=[] One more question, i.e. the following expression WITH Deliverables.getItem(self.id) COMPUTE name, dueDate, description, todoIDs also trigered the 'not_known' error for every objects in Deliverables. Christmas will be coming soon and some credit is due to our U.S. service men and women for our being able to celebrate these festivities. Let's try in this small way to pay a tiny bit of what we owe. Make people stop and think of our heroes, living and dead, who sacrificed themselves for us. Please, do your small part to plant this small seed. I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE ON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT, THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR SO WILLING TO FIGHT. THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER, WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE, WHISPERED, "CARRY ON SANTA, IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS SECURE." ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH, AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT. zope, worldpilot, IMAP, POP...

I've been investigating how to do web-based email for zope users... it seemed like worldpilot was cool (BTW, where is it??) Then I was talking to a friend, who mentioned vaguely something about perl-script that implemented a yahoo or hotmail type system, and it solved the problem of username/password admin on the mail server, by avoiding it! Basically it took advantage of the 'dead letter' email account on a POP or IMAP server where all the bogus email goes, and it pulled it all in and parsed it against it's own list of users, etc. My question is, therefore, is it reasonable to try to do something like this in Zope, with the goal of using the Zope membership info (username & password) for defining the mail users? The only thing I find that's even close is POPMailProduct, but it's lacking the hard part... Marc
