It was an awful security hole to echo the existing password out the the User edit form -- please don't put it back! Think about it -- on a Unix system, even root can't read another users password, but only reset it. Base class in Python

Hi, In Java, all classes are subclasses of the "Object" class. Is there something like that in Python? I find it kind of useful to have some generic class so I can store things into its attributes easily. E.g: a = generic() a.b = 3 a.c ='Hallo' This is nicer than using a dictionary. At this moment I have to define class generic: def __init__(self): pass Not really bothersome, but is there a more straightforward way of doing it? Finding Zope errors (from World Pilot)

Hello: I'm still trying to track down why this test WorldPilot Product is not working on my Zope server. I've got SquishDot and RTChat working, so I know that Zope is OK. I've set up an IMAP server on my ZOPE server, and connected OK with an IMAP client, so I know that the username/password and imap server is ok. I'm using uwash imap server. URL Substitution.

Hi fellow Zope hackers. I'm quite a beginner in Zope and probably for some of you my question would be very easy to answer :) I'm looking for a way to embed a foreign (on different URL) document into the results of DTML rendering. For example I want to include LinuxToday headlines on my site and they do provide an HTML with their news headers. All I should do is to actually tell Zope to somehow render URL to this document as it were native document object. I would like to know, if there are any ways to perform such a thing without writing external method that will fetch the file over HTTP and return results. I'm also very curious what kind of development tools people use do develop DTML, 'cause right now I'm fighting with Emacs/PSGML, I've also used HomeSite previously, but Linux is a platform of choice :)) With kind regards, Alexandre.

See ZGotW #1 :) Calling one DTML Method from within another requires passing through two "required" parameters, one for the "client" object and one for the namespace. Zope and/or dedicated server hosting

I have read about all the hosting possibilities listed on Zope.org but I think I want a dedicated server. Anyone have any companies that provide great service, good support and for reasonable prices. Having something up and running 24/7 is a must. Thanks, JMA
