Then that's the only way. If you make your own form to edit the properties you might either call them directly, one by one, or gather them in a list, sort it, and then display them. No manage screen ?

Hi everybody, I have a really funny problem with Zope. I have a Zope application, for which I have no longer the management screens. If I try to see app/manage, I see the index_html method of app. Any idea ? If someone is interested I can send him the code. Hello, Is anybody bold enough to try Zope with ODBC to an ACCESS database? How about a Micosoft's SQL? Have you had any success with either? What would you recommend?? Multiple Zopes syncronized?

Hi all, Any ideas on how to keep multiple Zopes synchronized? Here is the scenario: 1) I've got two Zope machines with identical ZODB's. 2) I want a method call on one Zope that changes its ZODB to also make the same change to the other Zope. 3) The number of methods that need synchronization is very limited, so this doesn't need to be a very general solution. new to zope basic questions

hi, just started working through the zcmg document from the zope site & have already found a question i cant answer. completed the first tutorial but my screen does not have such things as the control panel etc down the left side. i am wondering if i accessed the interface correctly. the process i followed was 1. logged into the members part of zope.org 2. then accessed the 'Manage items in your personal folder' link this seemed to give me the appropriate interface without control panel etc. have gone to add a user & there is no acl users link etc. sorry about asking such basic questions but am stumped. thanks in advance michael

Acquisition?

I just ended up using this analogy to explain aquisition to someone and wondered whether it might be helpful to others: Aquisition is to a tree of objects what inheritence is to a hierarchy of classes. Is this accurate? Chris
