using ZODB/Catalog outside of Zope - What am I doing wrong?

Hello. I'm trying to use the ZODB and Catalog out side of zope. I have three fields in my class: two FieldIndex and one TextIndex. Searching on the FieldIndexes works fine but searching on the TextIndex returns strange results. Sometimes I get nothing on something that should hit and other times the wrong result for things that do hit. The two scripts are below. If you try running the search script and pass it "Second" you will see what I mean. It will return "First Test" instead of "Second Test". SQL Method cache settings

dtml-break

Tres Seaver suggested than when you need to use a break construct in a dtml-in tag then it's time to use Python instead of DTML. Respectfully, I disagree. So without much ado, here's the dtml-break tag. http://www.zope.org/Members/jfarr/Patches/dtml-break This is a patch to Zope 2.1.6 but should work with most earlier versions as well. I haven't tested it extensively with batches. If you find it useful and/or find problems please let me know. Many thanks to Phil Harris for his idea of how to do this easily in DTML. I seem to be missing a "break" DTML tag

Yo Zopistas! Let's say that I want to make a list of nodes from the top down (the reverse of PARENTS). Easy enough: <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('topdown', [])"> <dtml-in PARENTS skip_unauthorized> <dtml-call "topdown.insert(0, _['sequence-item'])"> </dtml-in> However, what I really want to do is quit reversing when I get up to a particular level, say the point at which I get to my Portal folder. I think I need to insert a line just before the </dtml-in> that says (untested :-) <dtml-break "_['sequence-item'].meta_type == 'Portal'"> But I find no documentation on a break command. maintaining a variable

Hello I want a single interger variable that can be accessed and updated from dtml files in various folders. I want to be able to do things like x=x+1 and ask what x is. what is the best way to do this in zope? Where might I read a tutorial on it? Please note I have classes and catalogs and sql methods working (to a certain degree!) but I really am having problems getting a simple solution to this problem. Presently I have set the variable as a property of a folder. I want to update it from a method inside a dtml file inside that folder, but have not been able to work out its address. I can read the variable, but I think that that is thanks to aquistion? Thanks for your time josh oN (sorry for cross postings on this topic, I won't post to zope dev anymore!)
