worldpilot import/export problem

I have a zope project(folder) which will not import into another zope. When I import the folder, I get Error Type: ImportError Error Value: No module named WorldPilot.WorldPilot How do I get rid of this? I can't find WorldPilot anywhere in the project folder, and it has been removed from the installation. Anyone have any ideas? This is a big problem for me. Originally the site was running v2.1.3 from a debian package. The deb package was upgraded to 2.1.6 and then all authentication was broken except for the superuser accessing the manage pagae. superuser could not even access index_html of the main site. I have tried to import both the original folder export ("jobs") and a newly exported jobs folder with WorldPilot removed into zope 2.16 built from source on the debian box, v2.13 and v2.16 clean installs on windows boxes, and get the same error. I ended up getting the site to live by using the Data files from the original 2.13 debian package and moving them into the newly compiled 2.16 version, but this is only a temporary fix. Anyone know how I can get rid of WorldPilot so that I can export the folder without it (i can't find it and neither can the find feature). Adam

Z ODBC Database Connection String HELP is really apprechiated!

Greeting, I wish to connect to a linux box running mysql from an NT workstation with Zope. I added the MySQL ODBC driver to NT and can not connect to the linux box. I have tried exhaustively several connection strings but to no avail. The TDX mysql Driver is set thusly: ---------------------------------------------------------- Windows DSN Name: MySQL MySQL Host (name or IP): 200.111.121.149 MySQL database name: test User: nobody Password: nobody Port (if not 3306): Left Blank SQL command on connect: mysql -h 200.111.121.149. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Zope connection -h 200.111.121.149 -u nobody -p nobody but I have also tried : test nobody password dsn user password --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gadfly, SQLSession: EOFError

Hi, This is the second time I post this error. I repeat here two instances of the error message: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Error Type: EOFError Error Value: end of stream during parse near :: "urOBv9CS7Mzi0g'"*"\012AND name = 'fi" ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: EOFError Error Value: end of stream during parse near :: "f3pqQ'\012AND name"*" = 'person_id'" ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This error comes from Gadfly. I am using Gadfly through SQLSession. So I suspect other Zope users have the same problem. Anyway, the message is here so other people can know they are not the only ones. :) (I've gone through Zope e-mail archive and there is zero message on EOFError.) I am stopping using SQLSession starting next week, so this problem will not affect me anymore. But it's good anyway to archive a message on this topic. zope on isp

This isn't really an answer to your question, but if you don't mind (a) handing off this problem and (b) using a US web hosting provider, check out www.codeit.com. They know all about Zope and Apache and I'm really happy running our little site on their setup. I think zope.org runs on their server, too? Standard disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with codeit, except as a customer, but they slip me a C-note every time I mention their name (or do I have to pay them? i can't remember! (secondary disclaimer: I'm kidding)) Original message snip: I have Zope set up running under NT alongside IIS and AOLserver3. Works fine as I have complete control and admin rights. I would like to set up Zope on my ISP. I have access to the cgi-bin directory, can run python (and TCL). So how do you setup Zope? The ISP is using Redhat Linux 6.1 and an Apache web server. Tried using the source and compiling - no joy error about compiling rights. Tried using a precompiled version for Linux. The install seemed to work.

ZOracleDA and floats?

Hi, We're running Zope 2.1.6 and we've been having trouble using ZOracleDA with Zope. Specificaly, whenever we try to retrieve floating point information from the database, it comes back as integer data. In other words, ZOracleDA (actually, DCOracle - we've verified that just by checking using DCOracle from the comand line) translates all floating point values into ints, throwing away the fractional part. Has anyone seen this before? A quick way to test this is to run the following query against oracle: select count(*)/10.0 from tab This should return something like 9.5 or 7.5. If you get an integer, then you know something is wrong. Thanks a lot everyone, Mike Salib

mod_fastcgi warning: beware the -idle-timeout !!

An unpleasant discovery today was the magic -idle-timeout option in mod_fastcgi. It defaults to 30 seconds - this means that any page that takes longer than 30 seconds to return won't be seen by the user, as Apache will have given up and shown an error page. mmmm, goood. Anthony

hi, i've been working with the ZCatalog and found a puzzling problem. i used this in the report page: <td><a href=""><dtml-var title></a></td> and when i tested it on my local install of Zope it works fine, but when i recreated the catalog/search on the webserver it broke. instead of creating a link like this: <a href="http://mycompany.net/zope_top_dir/subfolder/filename"> it leaves out the top level directory from the path: <a href="http://mycompany.net/subfolder/filename"> maybe it's a simple thing but i can't find why it works on my NT workstation and not on the Linux webserver. i didn't change anything significant when i recreated the report page. please help, this is very frustrating. thanks in advance! -<mike>-
