Since this machine is not doing much (Sendmail and Apache w/ no traffic) I could play around more with a few different scenarios. And before you ask... I will let DC announce the new code. Enjoy, J

Change ZClass Properties

Hi Zopers, I want to add property "SiteUrl" to a propertysheet. I want property "SiteUrl" value to be equal to Property "url" value. How can I do this programatically. I think of just renaming my "url" property to "SiteUrl" but there is no way to do that on ZClass management interface. I do not want to go throw my 779 objects and copy+paste... I've this problem do to legacy. Because I have 779 objects with a property "url" that must be changed to another name but keep the same value. Must be changed to another name because My class is now CatalogAware and this base class already have a function named "url", which conflits with my property "url". Any help? Thanks. Benchmarks vs Jakarta.

Hello all, So, I was reading http://www.zope.org/Members/BwanaZulia/zope_benchmarks/benchmarks.html and came up with a few questions. Since the page says to post comments to the zope-list, here I am. (Please cc me on replies, since I get the digest and won't see them for a while and may miss them.) So, my first question is what version of 1.2.2 was used. Second, was there a JIT involved? If so, which one. What webserver was used in either case? Anyone want to try it on the new 1.3 IBM just dropped a pre-release of? :) One thing that I think may be causing problems for Jakarta is the inital load of the JSP. Zope has a huge advantage in that it cahces most objects in memory and the JSP will have to hit the disk on it's first run. Not to mention that it'll compile it into the Java class the first go 'round. I'd be interested in seeing more complex JSPs and servlets and more requests to even out the startup time. Just some thoughts... -- -Otto.

multiple domains on one zope server

I'm just trying to understand how I can use Zope, I want to server multile domains from one zope server, with the goal being the ability to create client web sites and give them zope user access to modify content via the web, they don't want to know anything about web design. Am I barking up the correct tree in thinking that zope is my answer? Brian Smith

Stupid question

I have a stupid question, but i was not able to solve it by myself... I want to create objects (folders, images, files) without using the management side of zope.
