From where does nothing spring from?

I am trying to add some data validation methods to my fieldProduct ( www.zope.com/Members/gchiu ) - a data entry class. I have added a method called isNotEmail which returns either a 0 or a 1. However, when I call the method <dtml-var "REQUEST.set('error',f_Email.isNotEmail(f_Email,_))"> where f_Email is an instance of the product, then the words 'None' are returned as well, and render to the screen. Yes, you have to convert everything to DTML by hand. If you understand Zope well, you will find that you can do many thing easier and shorter in Zope. For most everyday tasks you have usually already a product written for you. I think before converting the entire site you should first learn Zope and Python till you feel comfortable and then redesign your site from scratch, since Zope's advanced features and object model will allow you to do things differently (read: The right way!). Python class browser

I'm tired of digging through .py files to find what methods a class supports. Has anyone put together a class browser ZClass w/ external methods that allows you to look at modules, classes, methods, and method arguments via the browser? It *seems* as if python supplies all the pieces (i.e. start with sys.modules and use the pyclbr stuff from there). -- cary

Problem sending mail from Worldpilot

Hello... I get the following traceback from worldpilot when hitting send on the compose screen. Yes a recipient is specified, as is subject and body. SMTP server is localhost, since all others returned a host not found error (even though they exist, and it finds one to _get_ the email from!). Anyhelp appreciated. Worldpilot crew: How about a link form the worldpilot page for sending these to? Sorry, a Zope error occurred.<p>

Transaction in zodb

Hi, Is transaction build in of ZODB? I have a product which keep a counter property and a inc method which will increase the property with a integer amount. I would like to make sure that concurrent inc call will not cause problem. Is ZODB automatically do transaction and prevent corrupt of data? Grüß Dich, There are many freeware utilities out there for generating images on-the-fly. I don't know about Zope products, but I guess it's better for you anyway to handle the details by hand. Using ZClient to Access Another Server: Via Proxy?

Hello, Loren Stafford describes in her "How-To: Using ZClient to Access Another Server" a method that I would like to use, but the Zope Server resides behind a firewall and it requires the usage of a http proxy to access external web servers. Do You know how to achieve this, eg. by modification of the external method mentioned in the How-To, which uses ZClient.py? Thanks for Your help!
