This information coudl be useful for you and us, either you have your permissions set up wrong and you are getting denied for something, or there is a bug in the security machinery. Greetings, I keep getting the Zope pop up password box in many menus. I also keep getting a access denied error when quering database records. What is wrong here? ZCatalog and Search Results

Hi all, I have a zcatalog. I use the methods generated by Z Search Interface to search the catalog. These methods will not recognize new additions to the catalog. After adding a coupon instance, the catalog search fails to find the new coupon or even the the old coupons. The add method of the zclass does have the statement: <dtml-call reindex_object>. The ZClass is subclassed catalogaware. There is a bug in Zope documented in the mailing lists. problem with 2.2.0b1

I just tried the new 2.2.0b1, and most imported things from my 2.1.6 installation are running fine, including all sql-methods. But: when I choose one sql-method from the management interface or try to add a new one, i get the following error-message: "Warning: There are no SQL database connections. You need to add a Zope SQL database connection before you can use a Zope SQL Method. " Thats funny, because I know, that the DB connection is up and running. Any Idea? Harald

I believe you need the following ( the following is psuedo code): an initial dtml method that processes your form, let call it dtmlForm and it has a variable prod_req which says how much of the product is requested. In dtmlForm you of course must call some dtml method which we call dtmlVerify. In dtmlVerify you need to check: do a dtml-let xyz= "queryProduct" ... do a dtml-if "xyz <= prod_req" then ok else error. How do I do...

Hi, I am at loss. I am struggling with Zope and just testing a lot of stuff. So I got this 'Folder' filled with images, SQLmethods, DTMLmethods etc. etc. I wanted to bring some order in this. So I made the Folders Gfx, Sql, SearchDatabase, Utility.... and moved the stuff mentioned above around... And ther my trouble starts. How do I reference from 'SearchDatabase' a method in 'Utility' (which uses statement from 'Sql'). Some stuff I've got working. Referencing the images as "Gfx.<name_of_image>" seems to help. Calling a SQLmethod as "Sql.<sql_method>()" works too. However, if I want to use a "Utility.<method>()" which uses something in "Sql" I am at loss.... Furthermore I have the feeling that this isn't the way it was ment to be... logout

I saw this little bit posted in the mailinglist archives: <dtml-raise Unauthorized> </dtml-raise> I made a DTML method with just these two lines in it. Of course when I call it I get into a recursive *logout -> login and call this method again -> logout -> login and call this method again ...* loop. What is the cleanest way to avoid this? Thanks,

dtml-if confusion

I have basically completed a management interface for one of our clients using zope. I have your standard product and order management. If a customer orders something that is out of stock I need to create a back order. I add an order in a query called addorder, in this I need to set up an if statement to make sure their is enough product in stock. I have a seperate query called onhand, this selects a product and returns instock a field containing the number in stock of a product. I need to pull instock from this query and subtract quantity they entered in the form and find out if the result is greater than or equal to zero. I have the insert statement and everything else I just can't figure out how to call instock from the onhand query and quantity from REQUEST (I think it is still in request even though i am in a ZSQL method) and then test if the result is greater than or equal to 0. saving files to zope

Hi, I want to export images from a shockwave file and have them stored on my computer and accessable by zope. Can I just have the shockwave movie save files to say: www.myzopeserver.com/savefileshere where that folder has its permissions set such that anonymous can post a file there? or is it more complicated than that? thanks josh on.
