GUF + SQL connection problem

I'm trying to add a SQL connection to GUF, and getting an error when trying step 8 of the How To ("HOWTO Use GenericUserFolder with an SQL Database"): "You are not authorized to change change_password_report because you do not have proxy roles. " The step 8 says (http://www.zope.org/Members/hippy/GUF_SQL_crypt_1_2) [snip] 8. Set permissions to protect the use database. It is now time to setup the permissions on the GUF objects to ensure that the SQL methods can only be called the code that we have created. Create a user defined role called Authoriser in the acl_users folder do not give it any permissions.[ok: created at the folder that contains the GUF] set the 'Use Database Methods' permission for 'Authoriser' on all the SQLMethods created above.[ok] set the Proxy role "Authoriser" on: change_password_report [oh-oh] userAuthenticate userList userRoles [snip] I'm doing it as a user that have the 'Manager' role at the root of the Zope site. The same username exists in the GUF, but I cannot change its roles (trying this trashes the connection). I'm using GUF 1-2-4. Zope is the 2.1.6, and connected to a PostgreSQL 7.0.1 (it works). Hello, Can you help me ??? I have one page with a "form", in this page I have an "OnClick" who open a new page who have some informations and when I "Submit" (I think that I must use a form also in this page to send the informations to the first page), I want to receive the informations on the first page, in a input or something else ??? We are three people for find the answer but we don't find the way, this is why I call you... Thank you a lot ... Vincent.

why this happens? a bug?

Is there a guru to explain why this happens? Create a document with the following code: <dtml-if "PATH_INFO == '/'> <dtml-comment> Some code.... </dtml-comment> <dtml-call "RESPONSE.set('list',[])"> <dtml-in list> <dtml-var sequence-item> </dtml-in> </dtml-if> Note: it is expected for this code to give a dtml parse error because there isnt a terminating " in the first if sentence. Yeah, but try to execute this page and view the page source on your browser... you'll get the dtml source. Hi, I have the following ZSQL-Method: arguments : login --------------------- select user_passwd as real_password from users where users.user_login=<dtml-sqlvar name=login type=string> when I now press "change and test" and insert a valid login into the Login-field I get: Error, Missing Input: Missing input variable, login The database works just fine as do other ZSQL-Methods ... (Re)Authentication and Anonymous problem

Hello! Anonymous pages have auth problems in Zope, if browser sends wrong credentials. That's probably a bug. I reproduced it many times during upgrade: 1. Login as user "phd" to Control Panel and stop old instance. (Browser stores login/password.) 2. Compile and run new version. "access" has "superuser", not "phd". 3. Go to root index_html. Browser sends phd/password. Zope denied authentication. That's a problem. Root index_html is viewable by Anonymous user - Zope should not complain about wrong (not in acl_users) login/password. Its easy enough to fix a corrupted database, but it will do you no good if you actually have a hardware problem because it will just happen again eventually. " I will transfer 5 apples, but I have only 4 apples." hmm interesting problem to fix. some ways I got from you: the "recover" program with Zope 2.2, but I didnot find out why it should be useful for me. When I read the "readme file". or use tranalyzer.py but I didnot find any product like that, neither any file on my computer with the lastest zope, only a small article: http://yyy.zope.org/Members/vernier/recovery In my netscape browser, I can read: "exceptions.ImportError" then I read all the message related to this problem, in every mailing list, but there is no solution to it, or related to it on those messages. Is it a new bug or ? Because my website is very big. I don't think it's very important because there is some other data.fs more bigger than 31 381 Ko. I'm running an IMAP(WebStar) server on a mac. i have no dns, so when I tell WorldPilot the number the machine is running on, I get a Zope error. Although I CAN actually log into WorldPilot correctly, cheers

SiteRoot (SiteAccess) bug ?

I am using a SiteRoot object since I am proxying my webpage through an apache. Everything works as expected (apart from some weird broken ziconimages with a Control_Panel/Products path e.g. SiteSummary and Tracker) Now if I view the Management screen trough the proxy and I am editing an object everything works as expected but the topmost link on that page linking back i.e. the breadcrumbs.
