zeo and rdb backend

hi i have a few questions about zeo and how it works (newbie) i managed to get zeo runniing, and i have two hosts serving one zodb. that's great. but i can't access some of the data that resides in a rdbms (postgres). i guess the db connection points to the wrong host since i use dbname@localhost username (for postgres). tried changing host to something else (host1 as defined in /etc/hosts) but cant change properties. zope said bad request. the same error if i use zPoPyDA. does this mean that i need to use zodb to use zeo? what should i do to use rdb for some of my data? i'm stuck and in need of help, pointers, docs from the great ones. help thanks -- ------------------------------------------------------ http://www.kedai.com.my/kk Am I Evil?

Looking for different style

I need a better way to render a DTMLDocument and store the result in variable than <dtml-let variable="_['documentname']"> but I do not like the style, it looks clumsy. Is there an another way? I would think something like documentname(...), but the acquisition does not work. Thanks Jens

Removing tracebacks from error message

I thought I solved this problem a while ago, but if so I can't remember how. I have a custom error page in Zope (2.1.6), but Zope wants to put the traceback information into an HTML comment at the foot of the page (which I don't want to have there). I set BOBO_DEBUG_MODE=0 and exported it in the "start" script, and also removed the "-D" from the command line that launches Z2.py. I thought that was all there was to it, but there must be something else that I've forgotten. Any ideas? Thanks. David Trudgett

restrict -tree tag global navigation- to subfolders

Hi, I found this to create tree tag global navigation: http://lists.zope.org/pipermail/zope/1999-February/002164.html Is it possible (and how) to change the DTML method SideBar to list only subfolders of the directory where SiteBar itself has been created? Background: Under the Zope root-folder our homepage has subfolders of different people, eg. www.jura.uni-bielefeld.de/web_for_Prof_A www.jura.uni-bielefeld.de/web_for_Prof_B .... Now I would like to have an automatic Navigation like the above global navigation, but one for each web_for_Prof_X and only with the content of this subfolder.
