Error defining permissions in ZClass in Zop3-2.3

When I want to define a permission a ZClass or a folder in a ZClass with the management - Interface in Zope 2.3, I alwasy get the following error message: Error Type: TypeError Error Value: too many arguments; expected 2, got 3 When I did exactly the same thing under the same circumstances in Zope-2.2.5, it worked fine. Because of this error, it's now impossible to access a dtml-method in a folder in a ZClassby an object of this ZClass. Has anybody an indea what I'm might doing wrong, or what has changed in 2.3 that I have to do it differently an how? Or ist this simply a bug? Thanks, Klaus

CoreSessionTracking timeout

Hi, I am playing around with this great product and (nearly) all works as expected. This is exactly what I need for my application and you guys are saving a lot of time for me! Thank you. The only thing I don't understand is the timeout of session_data_manager. If I test the example given in the help I expect 'Before change:' to be empty if called the first time (works) and filled for each subsequent call (works also). If timeout expires I expect 'Before change:' to be empty again, thus generating a new token. But it isn't. It still uses the old token. What's going on? I tested with cookies and form vars namespace, but it has always the same behaviour. What's the quirk? Oliver

Hello folks, We have a project being discussed here at work where I think zope would fit nicely. I explained my thoughts on how zope fits to the project manager and all I got for my efforts was a blank stare. Obviously some miscommunication. The project is a resume "database". The user would upload resumes into a database, with some additional fields for other information related to the person. The resumes and additional fields would be searchable. The user thought it would be very interesting for them if the resumes, searching, etc were available over the Web so that field offices could access them. My thought is that this would be perfect for zope using zcatalog. Now I haven't done any work with zcatalog but it sure seems like a perfect fit. Am I on the right track here? What points can I bring to bear? .isCurrentDay strangeness

where can I find Debianised source for zope-2.3.0 ?

Hello all, I'm using Debian/GNU Linux Potato on all my machines. And I want try to install Zope 2.3.0 on my server. I'm capable of compiling zope from debian source package, but on main zope site zope.org I found only plain zope source. This package doesn't contain debian directory. Tracker product fails at Add A Tracker

I tried get get my hands on the Tracker product and it didn't work. As i got it directly from CVS i decided to wait some time before i tried again. Well now i found that my problem is well known and was submitted to Trackers Bug Tracker Jun 14 2000 !! ( http://www.zope.org/Members/klm/Tracker/25/1 ) For short it is not possible to add a Tracker as the dialog titled "Add A Tracker" fails on submitting Id and Title. (see details below) Questions: Is this a Tracker problem or something else? Are there any solutions awaylable? Does Tracker development continue at all?
