RESPONSE.redirect -Load into the parent frame

Hello, How can I load a document into the parent frame using <dtml-call "RESPONSE.redirect(url)">. If I leave it like this I load the new page into the existing frame. In plain HTML is by setting the target to "_parent", but how do I do it in this context? Thanks, Belen

Zip a file on the fly

Hi, I'm using LocalFS to show pushed jpeg files from a PACS system. These Jpeg files are all sorted in folders (each patient has a folder) etc. Now I would like the user to be able to download a complete folder, just by clicking it on the browser. The best way to let the user download the whole folder is (I think) to first zip the folder and then let the user download the zip file. (If there are ways to download a complete folder, that's even better). Now, are there people who know of a good python library for zipping a file (.zip format) Or do people know if it is possible to download a complete folder? Thanks in advance, Regards, Tom.

external methods

Hi, i' am using external methods to do something on the filesystem.So i make an external method for the entry-function. This works fine,so far. The module which is containing the function imports several other modules which i placed in <zope>/lib/python> directory. My problem is that changes to imported modules takes no effect. What have i to do to tell Zope that the imported modules has changed ? A simple buttonclick in the Zope manage screen won't do. Equally, compiling the imported method to bytecode takes no effect. Changes in the function or module which is connected via "external method" to zope are approved after a buttonclick on "edit" in zope. has someone an idee ? regards Ralph

Form records not behaving as I would expect

Specifically, I get a "Missing input variable, locationid" message and some traceback information, which I haven't included here but can reproduce if needed. Now, if I replace the lines <dtml-set locationid=locationid> <dtml-set demoname=demoname> <dtml-call demoSet> with <br><dtml-var locationid> <br><dtml-var demoname> the the script cheerfully outputs the expected values. I'm stumped. Why can I display those value but not insert them with an SQL query? I've read several HOWTOs that assert that I should only need to use: <dtml-in demolist> <dtml-call demoSet> </dtml-in> and be done with it. I appreciate any insight into my problem. I'm coming from a C++/Java/Perl/PHP background and haven't quite gotten into the Zope way of doing things yet, although my Zope Book should be arriving in the next day or so. Problems with PluginContainer

Hello all: I'm a new Zope developer and I a bit confused with the Plugins Model... I have created a Plugin container and a Plugin. All works ok, but when I try to view the Plugin Container management interface Zope return me an error. Suggestions for printing an object on a page.

Hi I am kind of missing documentation on CMF for beginners: I added "CMF Site" from my product list, and now? What should I do to change the look of my skins? To add menus? etc. Any help greatly appreciated. Ragards, Marc

For more than one patch, one could do this:: find ../Patches/ -exec patch -p0 -i \{\} \; but that's a long way from the ZenFromZopeCoders page .. Hi all I'm trying to learn what I can about using CVS with Zope, and I'm tripping over a line in Steve Alexander's ZenFromZopeCoders [1] page. In the section: "How Evan keeps his own personal patched Zope up to date" there is the command:: patch -p0 ../Patches/* What version of 'patch' is this? Mine is patch 2.5.4 [2], and 'patch --help' says: Usage: patch [OPTION]... [ORIGFILE [PATCHFILE]] In other words, ORIGFILE is mandatory. So Evan's idiom doesn't work here. And if I have to specify the ORIGFILE on the commandline, then a wildcarded PATCHFILE doesn't make sense. So how do I automatically apply all the patches in a directory? Please tell me where to RTFM?
