"evaluating" a REQUEST Parameter to be passed to a dtml-var

Hello, Sorry, but I'm new at this :) The problem is simple, I want to call a dtml-var using a name (object) provided by the URL So for instance if the url is: http://host/cmf?document=main_english I want <dtml-var main_english fmt="structured-text"> to work properly. Of course the problem I'm having right now is that the parameter value is being passed as a string instead of being eval'ed ... So instead of the contents of "main_english" I get the STRING "main_english"! Unfortunately (Although for good reason) python's "eval" is not available ... So how do I do it? Thanks! Hi, I am installing ZOPE-2.4.1 on linux (Redhat 7.0) After installation ,when i start zope i get a permission denied error. ZOPE & PIL

Hi, Can someone tell me how to compile the PIL so it is accessable from Zope. I have followed the instructions of building it and have test it from the command prompt. >>>import Image >>> works BUT looking at the Poll.py file it is trying to import a module PIL. I am trying to configure the Poll Product. Any advice will be much appreciated. Regards Norman

Can't use PlugIns

What I'd like to see is : - a single content object suitable for any textual content - a container that uses automatically a single template file (not standard html headers and footers). This template file would have a standard name (such as current headers and footers). It's a pita to use two separate files for now, because it's then impossible to edit them in a classic html editor. - a plugin interface for content conversion (input text, structured text, html, dpf, doc | output html, text, pdf...) - some editing plugin, in order to edit the content in at least html, text, and structured text. Editing interfaces would be nice too, for example a browser based wysiwyg html editor... - some standard metadatas as zope properties (title, descirption, author, release date, expiration date... - support for dtml *and* pagetemplate This product should be a part of the zope core, because imho it's incredible that zope doesn't provide a standard and unified way to deal with classic internet content. Btw, this product could first deal with html, stx and txt only. Then it would not be too different from the classic dtml-docs... And with an open plugin architecture, it would gives zope a great extension... it's name could be "Document" : sounds good, no ? ;-) my 0.02 Philippe Jadin

Client.py problems

Hi all, I have installed zzLocale Version 0.0.5a on Zope 2.4.1. Product installed ok. Did installed the locale/fr for squishdot. >From the instruction that I found on the net it was said: "extract it in your Squishdot Product directory and restart Zope. Set you zzLocale language to French, and enjoy." How exactly do you set the zzLocale language to French?
