First, obvious question, why don't you try the python script? Just tried it, it works (for me). As for your dtml-approach, no idea why it doesn't work, but I can indeed confirm this. Perhaps a sign? "Thou shalt not abuse dtml for pure logic, for it will cometh back and bite you" ;-) cheers, oliver

List Problem

Hi, I have following problem, I have a list like: RessortList:list I call this list in DTML like: <dtml-if RessortList> <dtml-in RessortList> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('RessortCrit', _['sequence-item']+'|'+RessortCrit)"> </dtml-in> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('RessortCrit', '('+RessortCrit+'(1&1))&Pressespiegel')"> </dtml-if> after this I make a query: "qNormal(Ressort=RessortCrit,Aufnahme='',Erscheinungsdatum=_.string.replace(Erscheinungsdatum,'$', '&'),Volltext=_.string.replace(volltext,'$', '&'), Objekt=ObjektCrit)" size=10 start=query_start> Everytime I make a call of my query, I got an error. Is there somewhere a mistake in the call of the list ? Or querys don't support lists with other parameters ? GT

I wonder if there is any working dtml-tree example out there? I tried (each enclosed with <dtml-var standard_html_[header|footer]>: <dtml-tree> <dtml-var id> </dtml-tree> and this <dtml-tree> <dtml-var title_or_id> </dtml-tree> and this <dtml-tree> <dtml-var getId> </dtml-tree> but I get just empty pages. Catalog search from Python Script

Hi everyone, I'm working on something that should be very easy, but I must be missing something. I've whipped up a little ZClass that will be used to keep track of our school lunch menus. The class has the following properties: menu_date (date) school (string) special_event (string) breakfast_menu (lines) lunch_menu (lines) I created a ZCatalog to allow me to pull out each day's menu and display it on the school's homepage. I'm using a separate Catalog for this with the following indexes and metadata: Indexes ======= menu_date school Metadata ======== menu_date school special_event breakfast_menu lunch_menu I created a very simple Python Script that should query the catalog and return a reference that that day's menu. Here's the code (inspired by examples from the Zope Book): ## Script (Python) "queryMenu" ##bind container=container ##bind context=context ##bind namespace= ##bind script=script ##bind subpath=traverse_subpath ##parameters= ##title=Get today's lunch menu ## """ Retrieve today's lunch menu from the Catalog """ return context.Catalog( {'menu_date' : context.ZopeTime(), } ) The problem is that nothing gets returned even when I know that there's an instance with menu_date set for 10/14/2001 (no we don't serve lunch on Sundays).
