Hi, I'm using (Zope 2.4.2 (binary release, python 2.1, win32-x86), python 2.1.1, win32) on w2k prof. I run zope with -W 8086 argument like the documentation says but everytime i try to access any url with webdav (with w2k, Dreamweaver, and IE) i simply cant. When i use IE i get the following message: Zope has encountered a problem publishing your object. Cannot locate object at: http://pedro:8086/QuickStart/manage_FTPget Can someone help me please? Question about ZCatalog and SquishDot

Hi all, I was playing around with ZCatalog yesterday, and I ran into a small problem. I have a site that consists mostly out of DTML documents, but also contains a squishdot part. I was able to catalog everything, but apparently, the postings from the SquishDot part are not catalogued. I saw that squishdot maintains his own catalog, so I'm wondering if there is a way to combine that catalog in the main one that contains the rest of my site. Any ideas on how to do this? WebDAV lockingproblem with Word

Hi, if I store a word-document as "doc" in a ZopeFolder, I can access it later in read/write mode. When I store this document as htm-document, it is writeprotected, when I open it again with word. Zope crash in select_trigger

very simple question

hi i'm very new to zope so please forgive what is a very simple question i'm building a site for a friend with a gallery of objects. i'd like people to be able to search the objects by a number of properties, so i upload an image file of the object, hit properties tab and add a new field, artist, and then the artist's name. however, i have to re-create this property for every new upload. how do i change the properties for all the objects in a folder, so when a new image file is uploaded, clicking on properties has a blank 'artist' field waiting for some input? setting a blank property of artist on the folder does not seem to cause all the images in that folder to inherit a blank property. i've searched the archives, but i can find no answer. sorry if this has been asked before. thanks ===== u n d e r a c h i e v e r (and proud) <takeme2your(a)rocketmail.com> __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Problems Accessing site after reinstall

I'm in the process of upgrading one of my zope servers and after I get everything reinstalled and try to log on the only user that I can log on as is the super user account. I made sure to install the same version and all the same products and then I copied my data.fs into the \var directory and I tried to access the site. I can not use any of the users I had with the old system. Both setups are Zope 2.2.0, Windows NT 4 sp5, IIS4 with pcgi. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Please Help! - Changing instance owner with external script...

Hi there, I've been trying to get the external script below to work with little success (I found it on ZopeLabs): def custom_changeOwnership(self, username, obj): acl_users = getattr(self, 'acl_users') #UserFolder source user = acl_users.getUser(username).__of__(acl_users) obj.changeOwnership(user) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've got a script that grabs a username value "name" from a form and creates an instance in an adjacent directory. Zope hanging

Hi, I have serveral Zope-servers running on one machine, Zope-2.3.2 under Linux.
