Can someone help me with web switching for zope and static pages? This is what I hope to achieve: 1) Visitor visits http://www.maindomain.com/STATIC_PAGE 2) mod_rewrite redirects visitor to http://www.staticdomain.com/STATIC_PAGE 1) Visitor visits http://www.maindomain.com/ZOPE_PAGE 2) mod_rewrite proxxy passes visitor to http://www.maindomain.com/ZOPE_PAGE I was able to do this using manual rewriterules. But as the static pages increase, the rules also increase so I plan to use rewritemaps. Here is a sample of what I have done so far. I cannot install any version of Zope and some versions of Python under Windows 2000.All I receive is an "Corrupted Installation" error message

What about speed in this system, is it comparable with CORBA?. We have designed our system such that we need callbacks, id. e sending a request to the server requires the server to call the client again. Web reporting

I have recently been generating web reports from relational data in our ERP system and would like to process the results a little more than what I can accomplish with SQL alone. Are there any reporting packages available for Zope that are similar in spirit to Crystal Reports or anything like that? I'd like to have a few basic functions like sum and average, etc. I could do this in python, but I would think this kind of thing should be a Product that everyone can use. Does such a thing already exist somewhere?

Hi All, I'd like all users browsing the site from 192.168.*.* (i.e. our intranet) to see some additional content. I've read and implemented the HowTo (although * isn't allowed in IP addresses, apparently) and then found via the mailing list archives the "setAuthenticationMode" thing to actually make it work, and only then discovered that it takes *much* longer for pages to load under this scheme. Is there some other way to achieve my goal? Basically, I want intranet users to see an "update/correct this page" form at the bottom of every page, in an effort to help them to help us keep our content fresh and accurate. FYI, I am running Zope 2.4.2 with ZServer on Win2K Server SP2. To answer my own question for posterity, there's a product called User Info Folders that performs this function and stays synchronized with the acl_users object. Upload HTML crashes zope

hi! we are running ZOPE with CMF on MacOSX, 2.4.1 if I remember correctly, and uploading an HTML file most of the time crashes Zope, unless it only contains the stuff between <BODY> and </BODY> tags. is this a bug or a feature? How to debug if bug? TIA, Kari-Hans Kommonen

Newbie-ish dtml-with vs dtml-in question

Hello everyone, Is there a way to use the dtml-in tag, and not iterate over the results? The problem I'm having is that I can call a ZSQL method, and pull a variable out of it using dtml-in, and I get a nice iteration over that variable. But in the case of one of my variables, I just want to pull it out, without iteration. I've tried to do it with both dmtl-call and dtml-with, but they don't do what I want, and I get a key error for that variable. Can any one offer any hints at what I should do? Thanks! Russell

Overflow error with Catalog
