What about Dreamweaver 4? I also heard XMetal would support WebDav as well... Do you allow image uploads? Do you use the catalog? If so in either of these cases, subtransction changes in 2.3.1 b1 might help solve the problem. It also may be an error in the transaction code in either SQLSession or MySQLDA. I'd try 2.3.1 final when it comes out. ansychat.py internal error

Can anyone tell me why this might be happening? Recently, and for no apparent reason, the ZServer's been throwing socket errors from ansychat.py's initiate_send. What could cause this? I don't even know where to start in debugging. It seems to be random, and not tied to any particular access or event. It's kind of agrevating when there's no straightforward way to track down the error. And I don't know how to get any more info. I've run in debug mode with a debug log, and run it through the analyzer script, but to no avail. Doesn't produce any errors. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. I'm running Zope 2.2.2 on Solaris. Hello, i'm using Zope 2.3, ZMysqlDA2.0.4, MySQL-python0.3.1 and MySQL latest rev. Create a table with a date, put in it 1970-1-1 and try to read it. You will got this error: Error, exceptions.IOError: [Errno 22] Invalid argument I think that the problem is in the Y2K patch in datetime.py. Someone can confirm? Hi all, I'm starting to dig into learning Zope. I read through a tutorial and have been working a bit with the Zope Book and there's where I hit a problem. I'm trying to modify the batching example to create a slideshow. Here's what I've got: <dtml-var standard_html_header> <dtml-in expr="objectValues('Images')" size=1 start=query_start> <p>display for any items found: <dtml-var sequence-item></p> </dtml-in> <dtml-var standard_html_footer> (This is stripped down from the code in Chapter 7.) I've put this in the same folder as the Images and all I get is the header and footer text with a blank body. (I'll get the sorting later...) Any pointers would be welcome. Hi, I'm testing my GuardedFile product on Zope 2.3.0. Here's the blurb on GuardedFile: A GuardedFile is a Zope File that is accessible by proxy only. When a GuardedFile is created, all acquired permissions are unset. A proxy role is created in its container with the sole permission "View". When the GuardedFile is deleted, its associated proxy role is also removed. In all other aspects GuardedFile behaves exactly like a File. Suppose I have the following folder structure: root |- test |- guarded Only "root" has acl_users. I, as a regular user in "root"'s acl_users, create a GuardedFile called "agf" in "guarded"; a proxy role "proxy_for_agf" is also created in "guarded" by the product. The content of "agf" is just some text. I then create a dtml method in "guarded" called "prox" thusly: <dtml-var agf> I next try to assign to "prox" the proxy role "proxy_for_agf". The idea is that "anonymous" can access "agf" only thru "prox". I get the following error: You are not authorized to change prox because you do not have proxy roles. The private key required for S/MIME signature generation is stored as a GuardedFile and the dtml method that invokes dtml-smime is assigned the necessary proxy role to access the private key in said GuardedFile. New Riders to publish The Zope Book

New Riders to publish "The Zope Book" As many of you know, Amos Latteier and I have spent the last year working with O'Reilly and Associates writing a book about Zope. Recently, O'Reilly decided not to publish the book. We took the book to a number of different publishers, all of whom showed a lot of interest in publishing it. After lots of discussion and review of our options, we have decided to go with New Riders Publishing. We think is a great choice for us, for Zope, and for the Zope community. New Riders is a great publishing company, and we have been very impressed with their line-up of high quality, open source oriented books. Amos and I are really excited to become NR authors, and to have our works placed alongside other great NR books. One of our main reasons for going with NR was their enthusiasm to publish the book under an open content license. Starting today, *The Zope Book* is licensed under the Open Publication License v1.0 (http://www.opencontent.org/openpub/) with none of the restrictive license options chosen. These new licensing terms means that we can we begin to distribute the book in several different downloadable formats, and that you, the reader, can use the book content in a free and open manner in accordance with OPL guidelines. We will also be providing the book in raw, structured text format from a publicly available CVS archive so that community members can contribute patches directly to the book, and other great documentation projects we will be announcing soon! At this point, it is difficult for us to talk about firm timelines, but we hope to have the book on the shelves by early June. NR is very commited to providing us with extensive editorial resources, and the next couple of months are going to be really exciting! For those of you who participted in our free, signed book contest, don't worry, you'll still get your signed copy, it will just look a little different that what you expected. ;) I have uploaded the newest version of the book to Zope.org. We have been waiting for the publication deal to happen before we did this, and now that all that is taken care of you will be seeing lots of changes to the book, and hopefully some more useful downloadable formats in the near future.
