Currently, there is a nice set of documentation in ebook format on Beehive, including a particularly useful book on ZClass. You can easily manage your site, and you can delegate control of (part of) your server to others. There are ways of importing existing websites into Zope, but mostly only static HTML, files and images. Using Python and Perl you can usually convert your existing CGIs without too much trouble as well. Give the mailinglist more details, and they probably can help. Build-in functions

Trying to use the build-in python string functions like replace without success. I want to replace the slash with a dot in an URL (main/detail/form/index=> main.detail.form.index), but <dtml-let g="main/detail/form/index"> <dtml-var replace(g,'/','.')> </dtml-let> doesn't what i expect. It tries to call the object "replace(main/detail/form/index,'/','.')". Do i have to import the build-in functions? How? What's the way doing the replacement? with regards Axel

I have recently installed Red Hat Linux release 7.0 (Guinness). I added the Zope-zserver-2.3.0-1 and Zope-2.3.0-1 rpms from the 'Libc6 Contribs for i386'. It appears that all the requests are being logged in /var/log/messages. Is there some way I can change this to be something like /etc/httpd/logs/access_log? Here is a sample message: Mar 4 10:46:07 sprout ZServer[2311]: 63.93.99.139: - - [04/Mar/2001:10:46:07 -0700] "GET /p_/ZopeButton HTTP/1.1" 200 9515 "http://sprout.qantel.com/" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 98)" Thanks in advance, Patrick

Path syntax

Hi there, is there an easy way to change a path from slash-notation in python-syntax (main/sub/form =>main.sub.form)? I got an URL from the RESPONSE and some ascii-parts for the path. concating them in '/'-Syntax doesnt work. Manually changing the '/' in '.' is OK. with regards Axel
