Hamish, I first heard about this effort at OSDEM in February and it sounded promising then. If the design and implementation are easy to integrate I'd love to include it in Midgard 2.0. If it turns out to be a lot of effort, of course, we'll have to look at it closely and weigh the benefits, but the idea sounds solid. I don't have a lot of time to look at your proposals closely right now (although some other Midgard developers may), but I'll make sure we consider them before building our own templates for Midgard 2.0. AttributeError __div__

Sometimes i get the AttributError __div__ or __len__ Unfortunately i do not know whats the reason for. What does it mean? Is there an errorlist with the possible values and perhaps a discribtion? greetings Axel

Calling objects

I can't find a way to call a form in an other subpath. Getting a variable "goal"="main/sub/form" from the calling-form. wanting to call it with <dtml-var "goal"> But it only prints the ascii contents on the screen. Is there a way to force an evaluation of the text? or how to do this job? with regards Axel

Batch Import?

Hi all, What do you use to import a batch of files into Zope? Preferably fully automatic and scriptable, being able to import a mixed set of files and images and create objects for them, set properties? Batch import of images is what I need the most, preferably creating ExtImage objects. Anybody already built something like that? Found load_site and fsimport so far, am I overlooking something? Thnx! Jonathan

Unable to join zope.org

A developer from the Midgard project wrote to me as his only Zope-related contact to say that he was unable to join zope.org (in order to participate in the ZPT wiki). Image refresh

Hi, let's say I have a set of logos I want displayed in a certain cell in a table. So far, I have the following code for this <dtml-var standard_html_header> <table width=100%> <tr> <td> <dtml-var render-image_dtml> </td> <tr> ...... </tr> </table> And this works fine.Now, I want to change render-image_dtml so that new images are loaded everytime the page is refreshed by a certain user and so that the images change automatically if the same page is viewed for say, 5 minutes. dtml-in sort by generic function

Hello! For quite some time we, the Russian users of DTML (mostly we use DTML, not entire Zope), have a problem with dtml-in sorting. The sort is not locale-aware. The problem is that DT_In.py just calls s.sort(), and this is wrong way for locale-aware sort. For locale-aware one needs to write special comparisonfunction . In the most simple case the call is just s.sort(locale.strcoll). Well, I thought I'd write a patch for DT_In.py that would add another flag to dtml-in, something like <dtml-in seq sort=surname use_locale>, but a colleague of mine, Dennis Otkidach suggested more general approach - to make a patch that will allow to pass a generic function to sort(), something like <dtml-in seq sort=surname sort_func=foobar> where sort_func points to a Python function (like locale.strcoll), or Python Script function, or such. Any opinion? I see a minor problem here - if I want just locale-aware sort, I would write <dtml-in seq sort=surname sort_func=_.locale.strcoll>, but module locale is not available in DTML. ZHTTP Server allows server name

Hello! Our system/network admins scanned our local network and found on my computer strange proxy :) > telnet localhost 8080 Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost. Escape character is '^]'. GET http://www.zope.org/ HTTP/1.0 Host: localhost Then Zope returned root page of localhost, not www.zope.org, so it is not security hole, but anyway I think ZServer should not accept server name in he request. Instead an error (perhaps HTTP error 400) should be returned. Should I report this to Collector? Keys from dictionaries

Hi people, please tell me a way to get the keys and/or values form an dictonary in an DTML-Document I want to get the keys from the SQL-Method. I thought it has to look like this: <dtml-in Query> <dtml-var sequence-key> <dtml-var sequence-item> </dtml-in> The result ist only the first key and some curious value (perhaps the rest of the address string). Trying the equivalent in python-script, like for x in Query: print x.keys() return printed is rejected by the parser with regards Axel
