Set Product Permissions: TypeError?

Hi all, Add a Product, go to 'Define Permissions', change 'Use Database Methods' from '(disabled)' to 'Use Database Methods' so I can use and call SQL Methods within my ZClass. But when I try to save my changes I get a TypeError: too many arguments, expected 2, got 3 Zope 2.3.0 source release, Python 1.5.2 (Linux). FYI about Zope 2.3.x and FreeBSD

A couple of us on the IRC channel were trying to get Zope 2.3 running on FreeBSD. 2.2.x works fine. 2.3.x sometimes seems to fail to run. Both of us got an error importing module 'new', but for one of us zope 2.3.0a2 still ran, while for the other it wouldn't start. 2.3.1b3 failed to start for the one 2.3.0a2 ran for. Installing python2.0 from ports and either 2.3.1b3 from source or 2.3.0a2 from the FreeBSD port works fine. --RDM

CatalogAware Error in 2.3.1 Final

I get this traceback from an attempt to create any ZClass instance that subclasses DTML Document and is CatalogAware. I tested 2.3.1b2 pretty extensively. Did not test 2.3.1b3. Presumably, in the default configuration, the catalog is viewable by all users, including "Anonymous", and as far as I know, that hasn't been modified. But isn't "getpath" going to cause an "Unauthorized" exception if the object referred to by "data_record_id" in that particular iteration of the loop is inaccessible, and not just if the catalog itself is inaccessible? It turns out that users want to secure some folders from general access, which was not part of our original design, so the original programmer didn't take it into account. Returning to page after updating database

Hello, I have a small problem that I cannot figure out. I display a form for editing some data. When the submit button is hitted, a method is called that first calls the SQL method for updating the database, then calls a page that I want to return to. But it never returns. to zope or not

Hi everyone. I'm new to the list (and zope) and is trying to determine whether we should you Zope or not for an Intranet site we wish to deploy. I'm still not familiar with Zope but has been encountered it as alternative to using the apache and stuff. Would anyone tell me the PROs and CONs of using zope for an Intranet? How does it compare with using apache. Btw, among our concerns is that some of the intranet nodes will be using a touchscreen interface. Will that matter when considering zope. Updating multiple fields in the same Z SQL Method

How do you update several fields in the same SQL method ? I just entered something like this: Update <table> set <field>=<dmtl data> where <field>=<dtml data> Update <table> set <field>=<dmtl data> where <field>=<dtml data> But I get an error because Zope just sees it as a whole line.
