Hello all, Zope 2.3.2 beta 1 has been released - you can download it from Zope.org: http://www.zope.org/Products/Zope/2.3.2b1/ Zope 2.3.2b1 contains fixes for several issues that have come up with 2.3.1, including several Catalog and FTP related fixes. Unless something really important comes up, we expect to make no further changes between this beta and the 2.3.2 final release. Zope service network permissions on NT

When my NT box restarts after a power failure (we have lots of these in California these days), my Zope loses its ability to talk to some of the other hosts on the LAN. I have Zope running as a service on NT 4. The Zope service runs as user "zope". My Zope talks to other hosts on the LAN via: 1. NT filesystem (thru LocalFS product). No problem here. The links to the other fileservers are specified in UNC format (e.g. \\phoneserver\phonelist.txt). And the user "zope" has the requisite permissions on all the filesystem drives used. 2. ODBC connections to databases on other hosts. The ODBC driver forces you to specify connections in terms of drive mappings (e.g. f:\phonelist.mdb). But after startup, when no one is logged in, there is no active user profile containing drive mappings. Therefore, the ODBC connections are broken. 3. NFS Maestro mounts. The Maestro driver also forces you to specify connections in terms of drive mappings -- with the same problems as #2. Does anyone know how to configure NT, Zope, or the Zope service so that connection types #2 and #3 don't break when no one is logged in. -- Thanks -- Loren

Andy's way seems best, but you might try this registry hack: under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/Winlogon, add these new String Values: Name - AutoLogon Data - "1" Name - DefaultUserName Data - "zope" Name - DefaultPassword Data - "yourpasswordhere" Name - DefaultDomainName Data - "yourdomainhere" I have this working with "AutoAdminLogon" instead of "AutoLogon", and "DefaultUserName" set to "Administrator", but I like to live dangerously. ;) AutoLogon should work the same way, theoretically, but I haven't tested it. need help on mail attachment using dtml

I am using the following code to send an attachment in this case a gif image: <dtml-sendmail mailhost=kammail> To: knejad(a)codeit.com From: someone(a)someplace.com Subject: <dtml-var subject> <dtml-mime type="text/plain" encode=7bit> <dtml-var body> elvis is cool! <dtml-boundary type="application/octet-stream" filename="REQUEST['elvis'].getId() encode=base64><dtml-var "elvis"></dtml-mime> </dtml-sendmail> Mail with attachment was sent! when i recieve the email the file type is not shown. it should be a gif. I can save and view the file but it is saved as .html file. Also the filename is not rendered. Would appreciate some help on this.
