I've built a site using Zope that uses a bit of dtml. I would like to begin migrating the code to xml in anticipation of Zope's phasing out of dtml. Would that be premature? If not, any advice on how best to approach it? Donald Braman

You can try NTUserFolder http://www.zope.org/Members/htrd/NTUserFolder for your authentication. Look at LocalFS for the files: http://www.zope.org/Members/jfarr/Products/LocalFS You can also enable FTP on the zope server. Run python z2.py -h to get a list of options. Edit start.bat with the options you want, and away you go. I don't think this should count for much, but I installed Zope on NT roundabout last July on a server here, and a division of say 15 people have been using it to zwiki ever since. That server is being rebuilt now, so I move across the Zope installation to another one. That's the first maintenance I've had to do in more than nine months :) I don't suppose the original machine has been running perfectly uninteruptedly. I assume this should work when Lake.class is kept inside the ZODB. Maybe it must be neccessary that Zope send the right MIME-type for .class objects. If it does not work, what is the error message of the browser. When using Netscape you can find additional error messages inside the Java console. Applet does not work

Hi, I was wondering if Zope supports Java Applets. I recently added some code to a dhtml method that calls a function called simple.class. I was unable to get the applet to work. Can Zope support Applets? Iterating over REQUEST.form

Hi all, I'm sure somebody more clever than me can work this out. I'm getting results back from a form (checkboxes), so I never know how many items I am going to get back. What I want to be able to do is iterate over the contents of REQUEST.form to be able to process each item, no matter how many results I get from a form. Is there a way of doing this (I'm definitely sure there is but I'm not seeing it), or perhaps there is a better way. Thanks in advance, David

Getting the value from a select box

Hey all, I can use this code to get the value of a textbox. <dtml-with REQUEST only> <dtml-var "form['txtID']"> </dtml-with> - txtID is the name of the textbox. Now, my question is, how do you get the value from a select drop-down box? <dtml-var "form['size']"> doesn't work where the drop-down box name is size. Also <dtml-var "form['size.value']"> or <dtml-var "form['size.selectedIndex']"> doesn't work, however, I suspect it is because it's thinking I'm asking for a form field named size.selectedIndex or size.value So how do you get this value?
