When it's saving it's doing so by: 1. creating a new temporary file (gets created as a file object :-S) 2. deleting the old file (your ZPT) 3. renaming the temporary file. A new Zope powered site in education

Hi, I'm glad to announce that the new website of the Medicine School of Nice, from Nice-Sophia Antipolis University (France) is now "Zope Powered" (tm) You can get it at: http://wwwmed.unice.fr/ or if DNS is not synced yet, at: http://134.59.53.64/ Some parts are still under heavy Zopisation... It doesn't contain any learning material yet. Zopae and external CGI programs

Hello, Is is possible to run an external CGI program from within Zope? It's a Windows executable, compiled C program, and I don't have the source. My environment is WIndows NT and Zope 2.3.3. Confusion over INST_HOME and INSTANCE_HOME

Hi, I have this which is from a stock 2.3.3 distribution under Solaris: 219 % more start #! /bin/sh reldir=`dirname $0` INST_HOME=`cd $reldir; pwd` export INST_HOME exec /usr/local/bin/python2.1 \ $INST_HOME/z2.py "$@" When started up, this works fine. Looking for INST_HOME in the src tree I get: 220 % find . -print | xargs grep INST_HOME ./inst/make_start.py: varname='INST_HOME' Binary file ./inst/make_start.pyc matches ./start:INST_HOME=`cd $reldir; pwd` ./start:export INST_HOME ./start: $INST_HOME/z2.py "$@" Doing the same for INSTANCE_HOME brings back 52 lines of matches. I'm using the How-To at <http://www.zope.org/Members/4am/instancehome> to have one source installation serve up loads of mini zope sites. It has always worked well under 2.3.0, and here's a 'start' file that does work. Thr python used is 1.52 (Zope 2.3.0) #! /bin/sh reldir=`dirname $0` INSTANCE_HOME=`cd $reldir; pwd` export INSTANCE_HOME PYTHONHOME=/home/zope/Zope-2.3.0-src export PYTHONHOME exec /usr/local/bin/python $PYTHONHOME/z2.py "$@" Whereas this start file under Zope 2.3.3, (note: I've got both INST_HOME and INSTANCE_HOME defined). XML-RPC and REQUEST object

Hi, I am still in the reading phase and trying to get into xml-rpc to integrate zope with M$. As I look at the Products directory I see lots of functions written in a way depending on the REQUEST object containing all the data. Now If I call up a python method Can I assume that the REQUEST object is filled up with the parameters that I pass via XML-RPC? if so what is the mapping ( structs, arrays and base64 encoded data) ?
