Odd Redirect Behaviour

Hi, I'm running Zope on the same machine as Apache+PHP. I'm not trying to do anything clever - all I want to do is to redirect requests to http://www.spiderplant.net/dan/redirect.php (that was index.html but I've renamed it just for the mo) to http://www.spiderplant.net:8080/anticlimax/. To do this, I'm using the following code in redirect.php: <?php header("Location: http://www.spiderplant.net:8080/anticlimax/index_html") ; ?> Now, when I visit www.spiderplant.net/dan/redirect.php, the browser correctly redirects. However, none of the URLs generated in the index_html method have the port number in them; for example, this occurs: <img src="http://www.spiderplant.net/anticlimax/titleImage" alt="Anticlimax Front Page Image" height="80" width="600" border="0" /> Notice the 8080 is missing from the hostname. Why is this occurring? What's so special about doing a redirect *to* Zope that breaks it? Feel free to visit the URLs above and see what I mean. Thanks / will it be easier in the future?

Hi! First of all let me say Thanks! to all who helped me with Zope & MySQL. I guess the problem is that we (a friend and I) have installed and unistalled and installed and unistalled so many versions of Zope, MySQL and the various adapters and interfaces that by now we are getting problems nobody else gets. So we redo from scratch by formatting the disk and installing Linux again. Unfortunately it will have to be Suse 7.1. which might lead us into trouble again. What about the following "workaround": - use the gadfly database first - wait until there are versions of Suse Linux and Zope that can be connected to MySQL from start or have a RPM-installable adapter and interface on the CD? Or there is a Zope-MySQL-connection product available for mere mortals such as me? Which verson of python?

We are now back to using "Zope-2.3.2-linux2-x86.tgz" from zope.org. Which version of python will the "./install " use 1.5.2 or 2.0? Which version of python should we use and how (how do we get it install with the right version of python). We are using Linux-Mandrake 8.0 which comes with Python 2.0. Thanks. The RPM comes with a built-in version of Python 1.5.2, so Zope ignores the standard Python 2.0 install unless you build it yourself. LocalFS Copy&Paste Problem

Hi, Suppose I have the following paths: /folder1/images/image1.gif /folder2/ where "images" in folder1 is a LocalFS Instance. The following code worked when I had this images stored in Data.fs after I change "images" to be a LocalFs instance the code started to give a CopyError: <dtml-with "REQUEST.resolve_url(SERVER_URL+'/folder1/images/image1.gif')"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('imgcookie',manage_copyObjects(['image1.gif']))"> </dtml-with> <dtml-with "folder2"> <dtml-call "manage_pasteObjects(imgcookie)"> </dtml-with> I know LocalFs supports copy+paste in is folder/subfolders, but what about from a localfs instance to a zope normal folder? enterprise level sites

Does anyone have know of any content heavy, enterprise-level sites that implement Zope? Sites like CNN, or British Airways? The zope-powered list on zope.org appears to be random, and hitting the most of the links brings up sites that seem small in scope. Thanks!

Hi! I hope this is not a stupid question: can one PythonScript-Object A() call another PythonScript-Object B() without help from 'above'? Like (suppose, wer're in A): ... x=5 y=B() z=6 ... and in the dtml-document: <dtml-var expr="A()"> without having to give A a parameter b and write <dtml-var expr="A(B())"> and in A: ... x=5 y=b z=6 ... Regular Expressions in Python Scripts

Hi all, Does anyone know why the Regular Expression Module (re) is not allowed in Python Scripts? I can understand that modules like os and sys may have security issues, but why re? Andreas.

dtml-if question

Hi all, I have a question about The dtml-if. I would like to call an image depending on the url I am at. Lets say Somsone searches for an article on school I have the folowing URL: http://codenamefuture.hurrah.com/nieuws/zoek?SearchableText=&Subject%3Atoken s=school If I wnated to write a dtml-method telling it should load the school image in stead of the standard image how would I call that image? Hope someone can help me on this. James
