Translating DTML into Python Script

Hi all, I would like to translate the following piece of DTML code into Python Script: <dtml-in "objectValues('Folder')"> <a href="<dtml-var id>"><dtml-var title_or_id></a><br> </dtml-in> What I would like to achieve is to loop through the objects returned by my Python Script: <dtml-in MyPythonScript> <a href="<dtml-var id>"><dtml-var title_or_id></a><br> </dtml-in> This is what I have tried so far on the Python side: objlist=[] for obj in context.objectValues('Folder'): objlist.append(obj) return objlist But when I try to loop through these results I get the following error: Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: __getitem__ I have also tried appending obj.id to the objlist, but that didn't solve the problem either. Do I have to return objects in a certain format/type before I can loop through it with DTML? The reason I would like to return my objects with Python is so that I can implement some logic as to what objects are returned, eg. only return DTML Documents that have id's containing certain characters etc. Thanks a lot, Andreas.

Z2.log erroneous timestamps very old bug report

Hello: Can someone tell if the bug report # 1204, with a status of "TESTING" since May, 3rd 2000 has been already solved indeed. ? On the other hand, bug report # 1550 shows the same problem (wrong Z2.log timestamps) as COMPLETED since August 24, 2000...... My Zope systems still do have wrong timestamps on the Z2.log file It seems Zope is logging with GMT times but considering my system's time is set to Daylight savings which gives a 5 hour offset on the Z2.log Normal time (not daylight savings) should report a 6 hous offtset. I have seen several reports of this "issue" but not a concrete solution. I saw a patch to DateTime.py but done many many Zope versions ago, so I assume it has been incorporated into 2.3.2 already. The OS I am running is RedHat Linux 6.1 and 6.2 Any help and feedback would be greatly appreciated. Felipe Barousse

Just make a folderish object, i.e use ZFolder as base-class, and you can add as many object as you want. It's even possible to define which classes can be subobjects of your zclass (I think for that you must also use ZObjectManager as a base class). Am I anything missing here? cheers, oliver

ZPyGreSQLDA under Windows 2K

Has anyone been able to get ZPyGreSQLDA to work under W2K? I have finally been able to compile the product and it has been a hit and miss process to get it to work. zshell query

Hi Jerome Just now I've been using Zshell (for which, many many thanks) to copy up a bunch of properties from a parent to a contained object. Unfortunately, the properties were generated by the dtml Calendar tag, and they contain slashes, eg: '2001/06/08'. This doesn't work with addprop: addprop 2001/06/08/string ProjectCalendar Why not just make the seperator a space, and make the 1st parameter the Property name, the 2nd type, and the rest the object IDs? addprop 2001/06/08 string ProjectCalendar Regards, jean

I tried Evan's example with VHM - but it isn't working

Hello, Yes it's me with the Virtual Host Monster :-) Now I have tried the example that Evan throw at me - but if you take a look at www.mmmanager.org you can see that it isn't working. I did as follows: 1) Went to my apache conf and added the following: NameVirtualHost 212.242.53.118 <VirtualHost 212.242.53.118> ServerName www.mmmanager.org ServerAdmin webmaster(a)mmmanager.org DocumentRoot /home/httpd/html ErrorLog logs/www.mmmanager.org_error_log CustomLog logs/www.mmmanager.org_access_log common RewriteEngine On RewriteLog "logs/www.mmmanager.org_rewrite_log RewriteLogLevel 1 RewriteRule /zopefuncs - [L] RewriteRule ^/(.*) http://localhost:8080/VirtualHostBase/http/www.mmmanager.org:80/mmmanager.o… [P,L] (The above 2 lines are 1 line in my config file). </VirtualHost> I went to my ZMI and added a VHM in the root folder. I restarted apache. And now - nothing happens ... The page should only show something like "Test" or something ... Gitte

How to remove 8080 from url

Hello, i run apache as a front end for Zope. One directory, www.foo.com/dir1/ is run by Zope, all the others by Apache. I use proxypass: ProxyPass /dir1/ http://www.foo.com:8080/dir1 ProxyPassReverse /dir1/ http:/www.foo.com:8080/dir1 The problem i have is quite simple: urls inside dir1 have the port 8080.
