ZCVS Folder won't display in root level

ZCVS Folder works fine when it is contained in a folder beneath the root level, but won't display when it is directly in the root folder. I am able to create the folder but not access it. No errors, the request just doesn't return when I click on the link.

profiling my python product

Hi, I'm looking for profiling with the python profiler my product called by the zope server. None of the tricks used worked: 1- inserting profile.run('method()', 'profile.log') in the main script, doesn't even create the profile.log file. 2- ZPublisher.Zope('my_product/my_method') (to be called in a script with profile.py ) crashes while calling http://localhost:9376/my_product/my_method via the browser works; there's the traceback message that I don't understand  3- /usr/lib/zope/utilities/load_site.py my_url doesn't crash, but I don't get any output. What should it do ? Flow-Charts

Hi, Somebody already created Flow-Charts (not graphical) or something in Zope? I want to create a certain log-book, but the solutions can be created/shown in flow-chart style. ie. 'First try out the network, if this fails go to...' every state is a new Zope object in the hierarchy. (This instead of just plain text) Next, not for now, but maybe in the future, are there python libraries which can graphically show a flowchart? Thanks; Tom.

How can work with versions and python scripts?

When I use python scripts and versions I get this error Error Type: VersionLockError Error Value: ("'\\000\\000\\000\\000\\000\\002<_'", '/tenders/cft06062001') How can I do for getting version and python scripts work together? Do I need to rewrite the entire scripts into DTML-code? [Q] Error - StorageSystemError

I installed/deinstalled zope-2.3.2 several times everytime I get this error message. File /usr/local/zope/2-3-2/lib/python/Zope/__init__.py, line 110, in ? File /usr/local/zope/2-3-2/lib/python/ZODB/FileStorage.py, line 264, in __init__ File /usr/local/zope/2-3-2/lib/python/ZODB/lock_file.py, line 101, in lock_file StorageSystemError: Could not lock the database file. There must be another process that has opened the file. <p> I could not login to the server by telnet. And then boot the system as "linux single", and deleted zope, and re-boot, and reinstall it. I really do not know what to do. Please help me out. Thanks. Joo-yung

Hi ppl, I want to change the connection_id of several Z SQL Methods at the same time. I have changed the title but with the exact same code the connection_id doesn't change! I write now with the knowledge of my "Newbie Acquisition Question" question... :) Maybe this should be in the FAQ? (says he without checking the FAQ ;) A DTML Document is a 'proper' object. It has properties. It execuates in its own context. A DTML Method exectutes in the context of another object. This is based on an example from the Zope book. Imagine you have DTML Method called 'Feed' in the root folder. Then you have a series of folders, 'Elephant', 'Tiger', 'Penguin' etc. under the root folder. Inside each of these is a DTML Document, 'Dinner', containing the name of the food that the animal in question likes to eat. The Feed method in the root folder ir written to look at this 'Dinner' DTML Document to find out the type of food to use. OK, so now we can visit things like: /Elephant/Feed /Penguin/Feed ... and all is well. The 'Feed' method is being acquired from the root folder *in the context of* the animal concerned. So what happens if we change the 'Feed' DTML Method to a DTML Document? Well, when we visit /Elephant/Feed we will find that suddenly Zope cannot find the critical 'Dinner' DTML Document, because crucially, the 'Feed' DTML Document will *execute in the context of the root folder*. It therefore cannot acquire the 'Dinner' document, because it is executing 'higher up' the hierarchy. Text Extending in IE 5.

hi, I have a bit of text, that for some reason is extending out of it's little area in some versions of IE (5.5) I think. You can have a boo at: http://jleach1.dsl.kamloops.net/g1 That is a screenshot from one of the IE that does not work.
