Source RPM Problem

When I try and rebuild a source RPM of Zope I keep getting this message. I have the cPickle.so file on my server in the python directory - /usr/lib/python2.0/lib-dynload/cPickle.so ----------------------------------------- + install -s lib/Components/cPickle/cPickle.so /var/tmp/Zope-2.3.2-rootdir/usr/share/zope/lib/python/ZODB/ install: lib/Components/cPickle/cPickle.so: No such file or directory Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.47987 (%install) ----------------------------------------- Anyone else have this problem, or know how I can fix it? SSL for authentication only

What do you think about SSL for authentication only? Wouldn't it be a good idea to redirect all /manage urls to the 443-port? I only need SSL for the authentication. I think there should be a possibility to let Apache look at the url, and if there is a /manage string, it would redirect it to the virtual SSL-server. After this, encryption is not needed anymore and it can go on at the unencrypted virtual server. If I only would know how to look at the url with regular expressions ... I think redirecting would work with ProxyPass or Rewrite. Did I miss something? Structured Text and Links

Im creating a series of DTML documents that contains wich are in the 'structured text' format. As told in the reference guide Im writing the links as follows: text text text "linklink":http://www.url.com With that code the url opens in the same browser window. How can I make the URL open in a different window? Like a target = "_blank" for example. thanks for the help Alexandre Aguiar

The management tabs are generated from the manage_options tuple that is defined in Python ZClasses (they are done automatically in ZClasses made in the ZMI though the View tab). For example, in one of my Python classes: manage_options = ( {'label': 'Meta', 'action': 'manage_metaInfoEditForm'}, {'label': 'View', 'action': 'index_html'}, ) If I call <dtml-var manage_tabs> in one of my management screen, then the contents of mange_options will be rendered as tabs. I don't know if there is any way to use <dtml-var manage_tabs> outside of the management screens. Obviously manage_tabs only needs a tuple of dictionaries to render the tabs, so there may be a way to make it render an arbitrary tuple, not just manage_options. EmergencyUserCannotOwn and log-in errors

hi, I'm very new to using zope and am having a spot of bother. I have edited my /var/zope/access file to allow me to login as super user from lewis.example.com (and preserved the ownership on that file [checked it against a ls -l > ls-l.snapshot which I did/created before editing the access file). I created 2 users, ken-o (an owner) and ken-m (a manager), with identical passwords. I can't log in as either of those 2 users that I created, nor can I create a script when logged in as superuser - I keep getting a "EmergencyUserCannotOwn" error. I did a number of seperate searches for "EmergencyUserCannotOwn" through google and egroups. The only discussed solutions that I found for anything even slightly similar to the above were about the ownerships of the /var/zope/access file. I doubt that it makes any difference, but the ID that I entered for creating the python script is "hejda" - should the ID be numeric? I am using Zope-2.3.2-1.i386.rpm and Zope-zserver-2.3.2-1.i386.rpm on a Redhat 7.1 Linux box as I am limited to using python 1.5.2 at the moment. aTdHvAaNnKcSe ken

A class has been declared protected, but its subObjects are still exposed?

Hi, I have a folder class extends from ObjectManager, and is declared protected as in: security = ClassSecurityInfo() security.declareObjectProtected('View') I also deprive anonymous user the permission of 'View' in the security setting of this folder(an instance of my class). All immediate methods are protected, but the subObjects contained within are still exposed to anonymous. I put those two lines in the subObject class, doesn't help either. What's missing? Adding new zope products

Once I have created a Zope Product in my Control Panel and after I added a Factory inside this product, how then do i add this product within some other Zope folder in my Zope Root. i have gotten to the point of seeing this product on the product list and upon adding it Zope Prompted me for a login to which my main zope admin (main zope installation user) login did not work. Accelerated HTTP Cache Manager proper use?

Hello All, Zope Version: Zope 2.3.2 (binary release, python 1.5.2, solaris-2.6-sparc) Python Version: 1.5.2 (#8, Nov 16 1999, 10:05:41) [GCC 2.8.1] System Platform: sunos5 How do I set the HTTP directive "Pragma: no-cache" in my Accelerated HTTP Cache Manager? I've created an Accelerated HTTP Cache Manager object in a folder that controls updates to a database. I have set the settings to: Interval (seconds): 300 Cache anonymous connections only? enabled Notify URLs: What can I put in the box "Notify URL's"? Can I put the "Pragma: no-cache" there? My problem is a lot of my users use an AOL browser, and they experience problems using my interactive update pages. The scenario goes like this: 1. AOL user goes to my db update folder "/Families/Update", and queries the db for a family record. 2. An edit page returns the family info, the user is allowed to edit fields. 3. The users then presses either 'Update', 'Delete', 'Insert'. 4. The db edits are implemented, and a response is sent to the user. My AOL users, never get past step 3. When they press 'Update' they get a response that the 'server is not responding or service is unavailable'. I want to disable the AOL proxy server caching for my db update pages, but I don't know if this will solve the problem. My update pages consist of forms that call other DTML objects like: <dtml-var insertFamilyInputs> and the form's action is: <form action="updateFamily"> While searching through the mailing lists, I noticed that some users had problems loading style sheets when they used relative links. Since the above two examples are not 'href's, I don't think this is related to my problem.
