DTML-stuff calling from Python Script

Hello. How to call an DTML Method from Python Script? It could be same as from DTML stuff: <dtml-var somewhere.script(value)> or <dtml-call expr="..."> But vice versa (dtml-method from script) always fails in anyway: ------------------------ print context.doc_here return printed ------------------------ Works, but just prints the source (not parses) ------------------------ return context.doc_here(_,_) ------------------------ Fails with "guarded_getattr" ------------------------ return context.doc_here(_) ------------------------ Fails with "standard_html_header" (key_error) ------------------------ return context.doc_here ------------------------ Works, but just prints the source (quoted, not parses) Anybody know how to call it? Zope 2.5.0b3 and sessioning problems

Hello all, I have some problems using the Session Data Manager in Zope 2.5.0b3. Sometimes I become a Unpack error. How can I return an object from a python-script

Hy, I want to write a python script that have a object-reference of a ZopeDB (e.g. a Folder) as return value. I tried the following inside the folder 'test': # return context.this() # But this does not work? Zope returns a "Resource not found" -error:  Is there any way to return object-refernces from python-scripts? Remote Connect To Mysql Database

I am trying to use the ZMySQL Database Adapter to connect to a mysql database on a remote host. This is the syntax that i've used: database_name@host_name:port user (no password needed) The database that i am connecting to does not need a password. I have also try it with the "+" and "-" sign in front of the database name but none worked. The remote host is on a LAN. any user agent (=web browser) just passes strings. to get float, either in the form use <input type=hidden name="shipping:float" value=<dtml-var shipping>> (see: http://www.zope.org/Members/Zen/howto/FormVariableTypes) or initially (after being called from the browser) <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('shipping',_.float(subtotal)*.05)">

ISO Splitter

Hi! I downloaded the ISO version of splitter.c, but can't put it to work on a Conectiva Linux OS (red hat compatible). I always get a "No module named Splitter" message and Zope can't start... I even created a splitter.so... What can I do? Does someone has a ready to use ISO Splitter for Linux machines? Thansk in advance, Rogerio

DISCUSS: Open house and Zope3 sprint after IPC10

Howdy. We're planning a small open house here in Fredericksburg the day after the Python conference, on Friday Feb 8. We're also considering a Zope3 extreme programming "sprint" around the same time (Thu/Fri, Fri/Sat, or Thu/Fri/Sat). A number of you have already indicated interest in both of these events. We'd love to see as many of you as we could, and also to schedule a Zope3 development activity while so many of you will be around. If you are interested, please email me. Path to an Object

Another simple question. I'm having trouble getting the path to an object. The ZB says the REQUEST object has a BASE0 attribute but I do not know the syntax of the call to get it. I've tried <dtml-var "REQUEST.base0"> which fails. What am I missing? Any chance that the online ZB can be updated to include examples in the API reference?
