Hello Andreas, This example assumes that the MyID variable gets filled somehow, such as from the query string or form: <dtml-if "imgs[MyID]"> <dtml-var "imgs[MyID]"> </dtml-if> Where "imgs" is the name of the folder in which the image objects are stored. You don't need to specify the extension in your Zope image object names, as Zope will figure out the content type when you upload the image. The <dtml-var> tag will write out the IMG tag, including the path, dimensions, etc., for you. If you want to add additional parameters to the IMG tag, use <dtml-var "imgs[MyID].tag(param='myParam')"> . --Ben > How can I check the existence on an image file in my image folder. Convert scanned files back to text files

I am using TextBridge to convert scanned WordPerfect pages to normal editable WordPerfect documents. Is there a peace of software or python script that can do that on a fly, or is something like this exists in Zope and I am not aware of it? IE6, ZMI and Zope 2.5B3 frame target problems

Just wondering if this is a Zope issue or an IE 6 problem. I upgraded to IE 6 (from 5.5) and from Zope 2.5B2 to Zope 2.5B3 at the same time. Now, in the ZMI when I click a left-side tree object, only the first few times does the right-side frame update. Then IE6 suddenly starts opening a new window instead to put in there what would be the right side content, rather than using the existing right-side frame. It's as if the frame name "manage_main" is being lost somehow. I can't see how this could be caused by Zope, but just asking if anyone else has this problem. Creating nested ZClass programmatically

Hi First of all, Happy New Year to you all! I am trying to grok ZClasses. I have created a set of classes as follows: StudySite | Study | StudyArm | SubjectFolder | Subject I can create instances of each nested class successfully through the management interface. Now I want users to be able to add instances via a standard user interface, but I cannot work out how to do so. I have users navigate to the desired Study, click an "Add Subject" button that opens a form to collect subject details, click "Add" to open a DTMLMethod, and then I come unstuck - whatever dtml-call syntax I try returns "global name 'StudySite' is not defined". I assume I am not accessing the ZClass namespace, but what is the syntax? Would I be better using a python script? If so, what syntax should I use? Would it have been easier had I created all the classes at the base level of the ZClass? Thanks for your help! Nick

SMTPRecipientsRefused

I'm getting SMTPRecipientsRefused when I try to send email from my join_form - register pages. I only get the error when the email is sent to an address outside of the domain. When I send an email to my address or a co-worker's address, I have no problems. I thought it might be permissions on the mail server, but I put an asp page on the IIS, and sent mail externally (CDONTS) just fine. Any thoughts? TIA, Josh

ZODB Cruft, how to clear? Catalog problems too.

Over time I've tried products, removed them, upgraded Zope many times, etc. I always use the same Data.fs. Now it seems I have some cruft in the database and no easy way to clean it up. On minor problem I see on startup is: PROBLEM(100) ZODB Could not import class 'PSQLInputWizard' from module 'Products.PSQLInput.Wizard' I can't find any of these objects because I must have (stupidly) deleted the product before deleting all instances of it. However I've looked in every folder and I can't find any broken instances, so I have no idea where this item is hiding. How do I remove it from ZODB? -- More serious, after upgrading to Zope 2.5 Beta 2 (I'm not at Beta 3), I started getting this: 2002-01-04T17:01:35 ERROR(200) Catalog catalogObject was passed bad index object <UnTextIndex instance at 8a6d6f0>. ------ 2002-01-04T17:01:35 ERROR(200) Catalog catalogObject was passed bad index object <UnKeywordIndex instance at 8a561d8>. ------ 2002-01-04T17:01:35 ERROR(200) Catalog catalogObject was passed bad index object <UnKeywordIndex instance at 8a16cd8>. ------ 2002-01-04T17:01:35 ERROR(200) Catalog catalogObject was passed bad index object <UnTextIndex instance at 8a6d6f0>. (lots snipped) But find doesn't locate any Catalog objects in my tree and I'm not currently using the catalog. How do I solve this problem? Wow again. This is all fascinating. In case anyone was wondering, the aspect ratio algorithm I use in Photo was taken basically verbatim from the old Photo product. I checked that it was "reasonable" (it was) and I didn't give it much thought after that. Now that my brain is fried, does anyone have any objections to using the above algorithm? Quite frankly, I don't really care. :-) All of my many hundreds of Photos look fine to me. Of course, I'm not the only one using Photo anymore. Frames and forms in Zope...

Actually I'm trying to improve the Chat Tool for Zope. My idea is to add a list of the online users. From this list can be selected one or more users as recipients of a message. I have something like this on a frame called "usersFrame": Online Users:<br> <form> <select name="usersList:list" multiple size="23" onchange = parent.frames['actionsFrame'].document.actionsForm.recipients.value=this.val ue> <option value="All">--- All ---</font></option> <dtml-in expr="objectValues('Folder')" sort="id"> <option value="<dtml-var id>"><dtml-var id></option> </dtml-in> </select> </form> Note: the onchange event changes the value of a hidden field, which I have on another form, whenever I selected a new user. I need to do so because I want to have a text field on the frame where the user can write and send a message. On the other frame, called "actionsFrame", I have this: <dtml-unless recipients> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('recipients',['All'])"> </dtml-unless> <dtml-var recipients> <form name="actionsForm"> <input name="recipients" type="hidden"> <input name="actionsFrame.html:method" type="submit" value="show"> </form> This code is just a test which shows me on the actionsFrame the users that I have selected. The problem is that it only shows me the first user that I have previously selected. I tried by changing the name of the input field for "recipients:list", but then IE shows an error that says that this object doesn't exist. yes that's what i thought too but it does not seem to work at all - I got it to work with perl php asp on a normal server... but i wanna use zope!! -- and do i have to call <dtml-in sqlMethod> to execute a query?
