Hi, I'm running a Zope-application (2.5.1, Python 2.1.3) on a dual processor (1 GB mem) Redhat 7.3 machine. User-authentication is done by the exUserFolder-product (on Postgresql 7.2.1). An apache-server runs in front of the Zope server. Now for the problem/questions. Problem: unacceptable performance with 200 requests/sec. Questions: - which steps can be taken to improve performance ? for the moment 6 child processes are running which each use 60 MB of memory (?isn't this alot) ; increasing the number of threads will probably help, but if each thread will probably use 60 MB - how good is the smp-support of Zope (Python) ? So I fill in the squishdot config page, set it for plain vanilla, no moderation, and click "add" and this comes up: Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: ValueError Error Value: list.index(x): x not in list As I said earlier, I run vnc on all my machines, and I'll gladly give anyone access if they think they can fix this.

Found a tinytable (b2) that winzip didn't choke on, I have a tinytable in the list of addable products

Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: ValueError Error Value: list.index(x): x not in list I don't have tint rable installed, I used plain vanilla pages and blue heaven and got the same.

easily create sub sites

I've been asked to come up with an inexpensive solution for a non-profit to create sites for other non-profits. These will be sub sites of the main site, but they need to be able to create them with minimal HTML (or other technical) knowledge. I'm sure that this is something that Zope can do, but I haven't figured out how. Is there a product that will facilite copying a sub site template then allow for customization? Is there an easy way to duplicate a subfolder and it's contents using a simple form? Uh... I don't think the list is supposed to be like IRC... I mean, I appreciate brevity, but perhaps you could elaborate your problem in a single, more detailed message instead of dumping the list with tons of nearly-empty messages. That said, please understand that the Squishdot product needs a minor fix to its product code to work with Zope 2.6.0. I would suggest searching archives of the past few days to find this suggestion. I define a variable in a tag, and try and use it in a contained tag, and get a NameError on that variable. Can anyone help me understand why? language environment changes after a while

Hi, I have detected a problem I can't find rational: I integrated PublisherProfile product from cvs.zope.org and after zope starts it writes the time values with formating value %.3f as dotted values of 0.789 . After a while the format changes to comma values 0,789 . Where should I search for a bug ? I don't thing that it is a problem of PublisherProfile product. Regards, Dirk
