[HELP] : Webdav problem - CMF - Image - CMFExternalFile

Hello, I have some problem with CMF content editing with WEBDAV. - In fact, i would like my users to use MS Frontpage 2002 in order to edit content throw the web - Its works great : i can save HTML Files. - But, if i insert images (with Frontpage) in my HTML Page, when i save my page, the images are not copied to the site.... - In my CMF Site, the Image have the "CMFExternalFile" type - I found out the following : If i use the "Image" type, it's work great (but i don't want to use that for historical raisons) I did'nt find anything in my Z2.log and in the list-archive too. Just to wrap up the last two issues, it looks like Squishdot may have been going into a second installation of Zope and the person who installed Zope as root was referred over to this how-to: http://www.zope.org/Members/mcdonc/HowTos/zopeinstall/ZOPE-INSTALL-HOWTO Of course, neither answer made it to the list because my mail client doesn't add the list to the To: line unless I hit Reply To All and I forgot to change the addressee both times. Duh. Has there been any discussion of adding the list address to the Reply-To field? Is the fact that we don't have this considered a feature, rather than a bug? The fact that I get duplicate responses to most of my posts suggests that most here are in the habit of using Reply To All... is that really by design? Just curious... Dylan

Having trouble downloading/installing zope 2.6.0 for Win32

after the download, when I either click on 'Open' to start the .exe, or if I simply download and doubleclick on the .exe, there's a blue install screen & a tiny popup that says 'Corrupt installation detected'. Should I simply back off to the previous version? Thank you in advance for your help.

Responding to hackers

I'm sure we've all seen our servers get scanned repeatedly for vulnerabilities in other systems. A quick check through the error logs show some obvious examples of this, including requests for: /_vti_bin /scripts /MSADC /MSOFFICE Etc, etc. Almost inevitably, these requests come in bursts, typically from the same IP. All of these calls are currently getting the customary 404, but I wonder if there's anything more intelligent or proactive to be done. I've thought about building myself a hosts-deny kind of solution using external methods, but I'm not sure that's necessarily going to save me very many cycles in the long run. Has anybody thought of a better way to handle this kind of stuff? TIA, Dylan

Accessing Management Interface

System: RH6.2 (up to date) Installation: Zope-2.5.1-1 Zope-zserver-2.5.1-1 Problem: The install (from the 2.5.1-1 src.rpm) seems to go fine, i.e. when I enter http://localhost:8080/ in a browser I get what appears to be the main screen. However, when I follow the link to the management screen, get the authentication pop up, and enter the default username and password the authentication fails. I get the same result when using Netscape, Opera and Lynx. Further, I have tried using zpasswd to change the username and passwd all to no avail. Help please. Bobby Sanders

Problem with ZMI left frame ...

Hello, On friday, I swtich my Zope setup to use Apache+mod_proxy+ZServer instead of Squid+Apache+FastCGI ... And all this went very well, and seems to work better than what I had before ... Just one slightly odd behavior though ... In the ZMI, the left frame, with the expandable tree, the "+" signs appear as broken images !! I've tried quickly to figure out where the logic is that implements this, but can't find it ... I have SiteRoot object, and everything else on the site and ZMI works just fine ... just not THAT one ... Could someone point me in the right direction ? Thanks ... Squishdot Error on Zope 2.6.0
