Parameterizing dtml-sqltest's column?

I would like to write a general purpose table row extractor and the column parameter to dtml-sqltest is driving me crazy. Here is what I would _like_ to do (simplified slightly): <params>Table Row</params> select * from <dtml-var Table> <dtml-sqlgroup where> <dtml-if Row> <dtml-in expr="Row.keys()"> <dtml-unless sequence-start>and</dtml-unless> <dtml-let Value="Row[_.getitem('sequence-item')]"> <dtml-sqltest Value column="_.getitem('sequence-item')" type=string> </dtml-let> </dtml-in> </dtml-if> </dtml-sqlgroup> But this expands to having the column equal to the literal text "_.getitem('sequence-item')", i.e. no interpretation is done. Is there a way to do this or do I have to leave all my SQL unprotected? Catalog and local characters

Hello zope community Here is the problem, maybe you had it before if you're french, german, spanish.... I have a collection of objects supervised with a Catalog. Say I have an object containing the string 'ingénieur' If I search for 'ingenieur' it doesn't work.... How can I tell the Catalog to ignore the difference between 'é', 'è', 'e', 'ê' Same for 'a', 'à', 'â' .... ???? Any clue is welcome, since many of our seaches in the Catalog return nothing because of this NIL

LDAP question

Would like to use Zope's LDAP adapter to manage logins. Don't know the first thing about LDAP, how to install on Linux, or how to populate LDAP directory with user accounts to make this all work. Can somebody point me in a good LDAP direction? Thanks, Bryan

Tracker Export Problems

Hi, I have tried to export an existing tracker to a different zope. from zope v. 2.4.0 to 2.5.1 When i try to import it, i always get the error no module named splitter. I also tried to export the whole content of the zope by copying the Data.fs file: I can view the Tracker postings , but if i want to edit the state of a message i get the error: attribute error: split If anybody knows how to get the stuff working, please respond. thanx, Sebastian

Unable to start Zope

I just downloaded Zope 2.6.0 to a Linux Redhat 7.1 machine. The install went without an error. But when I tried to start Zope it failed with the following messages. Hi all, I am starting to figure out things about Zope. And to this problem I have not yet figured out an answer: I have a lot of metadata about photos stored in a MySQL database. I have developed a Zope interface to show the metadata per picture using Zope and it works fine. I store small thumbnails in Zope for some, but not all the pictures. The thumbnail files have the same id as the MySQL variable idnumber which I show on the screen together with other metadata. My problem is that I cant figure out how to a/ test if there is a thumbnail file for the idnumber variable and b/ if so - show it together with the metadata - and if not - show a dummy picture instead I have tried many things but it seems impossible to have Zope test if the contents of the <dtml-var idnumber> variable can be used to check the exsitence of a possible thumbnail file with the same name. Intercepting and processing URLs

Hi, What I want to do is that if a page has a link called : http://myserver:8080/images/test.jpg I would like to translate that to http://user:password@myserver:8080/images/test.jpg However I dont want this URL appearing on the user's client, so can I use Apache rewrite rules for that.? If not what option do I have?? moving extfile instances across different zope installations...

Dear all, Greetings ! I have installed extfile product in my development server. The completed application has to be moved to a production server now. After i moved all the images to var/reposit folder of the production server, i moved the extfile instances using export/import of application's zexp . On restarting the production server extfile instances are broken. Hoe do I fix this? Regards, - sree

PyDOM is part of PyXML, http://pyxml.sf.net. ParsedXML is a Zope-specific DOM implementation (http://www.zope.org/Members/faassen/ParsedXML) Either would work here. 4DOM in 4Suite is yet another alternative, but its getAttribute() method is not DOM compliant.
