Hi, how can i add with python-script or dtml-method dynamical (via Forms) users to the exUserFolder. I tried the createUser-Method from the API, but i didn't get the wished result (i am new to zope and python). Perhaps someone can me give some hints or an example. Thanks. Tobi

Help for duplicate key (?) error

Hi all, Excuse if this is a trivial problem. I have Zope 2.5 on NT 4.0. When I'm working on an object in ZMI and click on the view tab I have a Key error. If I open a new window browser (IE6) I can work regularly, but after some time I have this error again. Thanks to anyone can explain this error to me. DTML in Product WWW does not bring images

Hello Fellow Zopers, I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with doing the following: When creating your own zope product ( I guess what I mean by this is placing a python class in /lib/python very much like OFS or mxm or the like ) and using DTMLFile( view, globals ), my view.dtml file has images that I wish to use, but I have no idea where to place those images so that zope will find them -- can someone give me a clue, please. Help needed with __bobo_traverse__

Greetings, I have a Product, myObject, that is acting as a Site Root (containing a Site Root object). So now http://localhost/myObject/rest/of/path/ is accessable as http://localhost/rest/of/path/ Now then I want to add an optional 'virtual sub-object' in the path so that when http://localhost/refid/rest/of/path/ is called the following will happen. 1. I can extract refid (the virtual sub-object) 2. Do a database lookup with refid 3. Set session data based on lookup results 4. Return a response as if http://localhost/rest/of/path/ were called without the refid segment in the path I have created a __bobo_traverse__ method in myObject and accomplished the first three steps, but I have no idea what to return to complete step four. Any help will be greatly appreciated since I have spent the last eight hours trying to figure this out. Regards, Jarrod Kinsley

nested directories

If I have a namespace which contains a namespace called images while it's parent also contains a namespace called images how do I make the following section of code access the correct namespace? I know where my obvious problem is, when calling parent_meth from child_meth the parent_meth dtml-with images is returning the child images object which does not contain default.gif inside of it's namespace and therefore gives me an exception. The question is what other options do I have? in namespace like: <parent> |_parent_meth (dtml_method) |_<images> | |_default.gif |_<child> |_child_meth (dtml_method) |_<images> |_example.gif ****in child_meth**** <dtml-let image="'example.gif'"> <dtml-var parent_meth> </dtml-let> <dtml-var parent_meth> ****in parent_meth**** <dtml-if image> <dtml-with images> <dtml-var images[image]> </dtml-with> <dtml-else> <dtml-let image="'default.gif'"> <dtml-with images> <dtml-var images[image]> </dtml-with> </dtml-let> </dtml-if>

quote escaping in DTML

Is it possible to escape quotes in DTML? There are situations where single and double quotes pile up in a manner that makes expressions invalid. Example: I need to generate the following programatically: <img src="/images/on/usability" width="82" height="20" border="0" name="usability" onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore()" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('usability','','/images/on/usability',0)"> First try is working but not very readable: <img src=<dtml-var "images.on.usability" url> <dtml-with "images.on.usability"> height=<dtml-var height> width=<dtml-var width> border=0 name=<dtml-var title_or_id> alt=<dtml-var title_or_id> onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore()" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('usability','','/images/off/usability',0)" </dtml-with>> Second try, using image tag tag: <dtml-with "images.on.usability"> <dtml-let name=title_or_id> <dtml-var "tag(name=name, alt=name, onMouseOut='MM_swapImgRestore()', onMouseOver='MM_swapImage('usability','','/images/off/usability',0)')"> </dtml-let> </dtml-with> This does not work, because single quote levels fight each other. I tried to substitute value of onMouseOver using dtml-let="MM_swapImage('usability','','/images/off/usability',0)", but that's not working either, because Zope tries to evaluate MM_swapImage which is impossible to do because it's JavaScript code :-) So elegance goes overboard and I stick with the first try. How to convert structured text into plain text

Hi, I know that <dtml-var xxx fmt="structured-text"> converts structured text into HTML, and I know how to call this from a python script/external method. Now, is there a method somewhere in Zope's classes that return a plain text version of the stx string? With all the special characters and sequences stripped off. Thanks in advance, Nuno
