PANIC (300) upgrading to 2.5.0

Hi, Zopistas! I'm trying to upgrade from 2.4.3 to 2.5.0, but I'm getting the weird error below when I start Zope: /home/samba/zope.temp# python z2.py -D ------ 2002-02-21T15:05:40 PANIC(300) z2 Startup exception Traceback (innermost last): File z2.py, line 495, in ? File /home/samba/zope/lib/python/ZODB/FileStorage.py, line 243, in __init__ (Object: /home/samba/zope.temp/var/Data.fs) File /home/samba/zope/lib/python/ZODB/FileStorage.py, line 1886, in read_index ValueError: min() or max() arg is an empty sequence I have no idea how to debug it. Can anyone help me? Some more info: 1. Zope 2.5 seems to work fine with the original Data.fs, the problem just happens when I substitute it with my own Data.fs 2. Everything seems fine with 2.43 3. How can I call a ZSQL method in <dtml-if> tag?

Hi there, I am a newer to zope application. I met a problem of calling a ZQSL method in the DTML if tag. Here is the example: I have a ZSQL method called "CountCrew" which has no input parameter. the query is: select count(*) from crew 1. I test it looks good on the ZSQL method "CountCrew" page. If the table crew has no data, it returns 0, if has one record, it retuens 1... 2. I call this ZSQL method in a DTML method, code likes: <dtml-if expr="CountCrew == 1"> <dtml-call "AddCrew(ptime=time1,name=name2,pemail=email1)"> <dtml-else> <dtml-var Error> </dtml-if> But the <dtml-if ..> test is false and show the Error message no mater there is one crew or none in the crew table. If I test it like this: <dtml-if "CountCrew">//or <dtml-if expr="CountCrew"> <dtml-call "AddCrew(ptime=time1,name=name2,pemail=email1)"> <dtml-else> <dtml-var Error> </dtml-if> the <dtml-if ..> test is always true and add the record no mater there is none or one crew in the crew table. You know, I want to add the record in the crew table only if there is at least one crew exist in the crew table. I don't know what's wrong with calling the ZSQL method in DTML if tag. Problem with User Folders

Hello Everybody, I'm a newbie and i have a problem with userfolders. when i create a user folder in a folder and add users to it. I cant access the folder with the username mentioned in that userfolder as a matter of fact i'm not able to access that folder from the roots user folder users too. I have restricted the view option in the root folder for anonymous users and acquired this permission for all subsequent folders with no results. Then i tried by not acquiring permissions and making sure that in that folder view permission is not their for anonymous role with no solution. Can somebody tell me where am i going wrong. Rajesh

Hi... I'd like to let users access my Zope web site normally through HTTP, but make my Zope management screens (in fact, any URL containing '/manage') only available through HTTPS. I'm actually using Zope with Apache and mod_rewrite rules using proxy [P]. How could I do this...? Thanks for any help... ZPT: looping through a list of attributes

I need insert keywords into the meta keywords part of a web page, dynamically, using page templates. The list of keywords is pulled from a list of subjects like this: ('foo','bar','foobar') The list is actually the subject element from the Dublin Core metadata in CMF content. The code I am using currently is: <meta name="keywords" content="Keywords, will, appear, here" tal:repeat="item here/subject" tal:attributes="content repeat/item"> That code results in (from a list of 5 subjects): <meta name="keywords" content="<Products.PageTemplates.TALES.Iterator instance at 023755CC>"> <meta name="keywords" content="<Products.PageTemplates.TALES.Iterator instance at 023755CC>"> <meta name="keywords" content="<Products.PageTemplates.TALES.Iterator instance at 023755CC>"> <meta name="keywords" content="<Products.PageTemplates.TALES.Iterator instance at 023755CC>"> <meta name="keywords" content="<Products.PageTemplates.TALES.Iterator instance at 023755CC>"> How do I get TAL to list one keyword after another in the quotes rather than creating a new tag on each iteration? Zope 2.5 and Formulator

Hi, I had the old version of Zope 2.4. I've installed the new version of Zope 2.5. I had with my old version the Formulator Product installed Because I read in the INSTALL of the Formulator, that now Formulator comes with Zope, I haven't install Formulator. I've just copied my Data.fs in this new Zope But when I start Zope, I have an error. Zope couldn't find Formulator. 2002-02-21T11:30:16 PROBLEM(100) ZODB Could not import class 'ZMIForm' from module 'Products.Formulator.Form'. What should I do ? Install Formulator ? confusing redirect problem

hi I use Zope 2.4.0 (source release, python 2.1.1, linux2) I want to display my own 404 error page. So I added a the following lines to my Standard Error Message: <dtml-if "error_type == 'NotFound'"> <dtml-let target="'index_html'"> <h1>This page has moved, you will now be redirected to the correct location. If your browser does not redirect, click <a href="<dtml-var target>"><dtml-var target></a>.</h1> <dtml-call expr="RESPONSE.redirect(<dtml-var target>)"> </dtml-let> </dtml-if> index_html is a simple HTML only dtml-document: <html> <head><title>foo...</title></head> <body> ... bar </body> </html> When I enter now a wrong URL (e.g. http://myip:8080/nothing) there is happening something very confusing. I see the html-code (without html, head, body at the beginning) from the index_html with "Bobo-Exception-Value" at the end and under it the forwarding text ("This page has moved, you will now be..."). Here the output: ... bar</body></html> Bobo-Exception-Value: bobo exception Content-Length: 1015 Bobo-Exception-Line: 547 This page has moved, you will now be redirected to the correct location. If your browser does not redirect, click index_html. The URL in the browser doesn't change from 'http://myip:8080/nothing' to 'http://myip:8080/index_html. I tested it with Netscape 4.77, Netscape 6.0.. Thx for any help. regards simon
