I installed LocalFS and now my Zope Webserver won't start at all. First it called for Python15.dll. I found this and put in into system32 but now it needs PyWinTypes15.dll. Localized ZCalendar?!

Hi *, is there anybody out there who would share a localized (German) version of ZCalendar (with the localized version of DateTime)? Or is there any other recommended way to localize applications like ZCalendar? by Töns -- There is no safe distance.

Slicing strings in ZPT

I want to slice a phone number inside of a page template. I am currently using the following syntax to define the area code portion so it can be used to prefil a text input box: <td align="left" valign="top" tal:define="area python:item.home_phone[:2]; pref python:item.home_phone[4:6]; suff python:item.home_phone[8:]"> I get the following template error.  I think it's because the colon in the slice directive is confusing tal. How do I get the slice functionality without breaking tal? Is there an escape sequence or something? Thx, Chad

zope startup script is failing (2.5.0 on rh linux 7.2)

Seeing a DTML-LET from a Python Script?

Hi all Quick question: if I do this: <dtml-let somevariable="'whatever'"> <dtml-var pythonScript> </dtml-let> how do I get at the value of somevariable in pythonScript? I'd assume by binding the namespace _ and doing _['something'] but that raises a key-error .. The nearest info I could find on this in a websearch is: http://www.zope-forum.org/forum/viewthread.php?FID=24&TID=519 but I couldn't quite figure that out .. File Upload from Python

Hi all, Perhaps this is a Python question, not a Zope problem, but I hope someone can help me. I'm tryng to upload a file from PythonWin Ide (I have setted my Zope-test permissions to anonymous). I obtain a 400 error with this page: "...Invalid request id omitted...": but I don't understand where are my error(s). Symlink product returns "Attribute Error"

It would appear that the problem is that _setObject() call doesn't work, and is unable to find the newly added symlink after it's added. I've looked at the source code (it's a very short product) but don't see anything wrong with the constructor. I assume this has something to do with the deep magic of playing with the __of__ acquisition in the symlink. I'm running Zope 2.5.0. Hi all: I using the following: <dtml-let target="'index_html'"> <dtml-call expr="RESPONSE.redirect(target)"> </dtml-let> But I would like to add variables to the url like this: <dtml-let target="'index_html?me=<dtml-var name>&you=<dtml-var you>'"> This doesn't seem to work the way I would like, is their another way to do this? How can I add a subobject to a container where the subobject id is the same as a container property so that the subobject will be used instead of the the container property? Is this a good idea, and/or is there a better way? class Container(...ObjectManager, PropertyManager...) Now in Zope I add a 'Container' object with id ZContainer and set ZContainer.default = 'The default value.' In most instances this is sufficient, but on occassion is is necessary to get the value of content from a more complex object such as a Document. In such a case I would like to be able to simply add a Document object to ZContainer with 'default' as its id so that when ZContainer.default is called, the contents of the Document are returned instead of the value of the default property.
