Let's avoid the confusion, since they look similar but are in fact different enough to cause errors: It's a TUPLE of LISTS. Also note that extra comma: (['1','2','3'],) Required, as I recall, for single-element tuples. I'm not sure *WHY*, but it is. Idle question -- do you know if executemany is supported for MSDE/SQL-Server? I don't have any need for it at the moment, but it may come in handy for a particular project I'm working on. ---------- Keith J. Regarding WebDAV, a completely wild suggestion: why not try davfs on a Linux box running Samba as a SMB->DAV proxy? Then just mount the SMB share of your Zope root as a drive letter or create a shortcut to the share folder on everyone's desktops... You could find an old PC, throw Linux on it, and use it in this manner? It won't solve the Outlook problem, but I haven't seen any evidence yet that even SharePoint can do that, so I may be safe there. I do believe that DC or someone else should look at adding SMB to Zope. M$, especially Office, is the standard in the corporate world, and as long as someone with an impressive title but little technical knowledge can claim that Zope doesn't work with some facet of Office, no matter how obscure, they'll have an excuse to remove or refuse Zope. For anyone else reading and wondering about a solution - it looks like WebDrive and Zope 2.5 are the best ideas I've been given so far. Thanks for noting the security problem with the guest book example in the Zope Book. I've fixed the example in CVS to use files in place of DTML Documents. IIS and PCGI

Greetings, I've always used Zserver by itself but I have reason to put it behind MS-IIS (unfortunatley) and I cant get it running. I've done everything as prescribed to connect pcgi to MS-IIS. Newbie Question : Problems with Automatic Cataloging of ZClasses

Hi all, I am having a problem with cataloging of zClasses automatically, as defined by Chapter 9 in the zope book, not actually cateloging anything but the url and the date. I know this problem was asked about way back in November, and Steffan gave the answer that we needed to add the following to the constructor file of the class: "<dtml-with "NewsItem.createInObjectManager(REQUEST['id'], REQUEST)"> ( this line should already be there ) <dtml-call "propertysheets.Input.manage_editProperties(REQUEST)"> <dtml-call unindex_object> <dtml-call "manage_editCataloger('inputFilesCatalog', REQUEST)"> <dtml-call index_object> 'NewsItem' is the name of your class. can't add back "title" to object?

I've got a folder from which I (mistakenly) deleted the "title" property. When I try to add it back (title / string / <string value>), I get a Zope error: "Bad request / invalid or duplicate property id". This is probably a Zope-for-Dummies-style question, but I'm a little stumped. (A quick Google search turned up nothing, though perhaps I'm not looking correctly.) Thanks for any help. -- Cheers! ExtFile and ftp access

Can you tell me, how I can patch the extFile-product to allow ftp and webdav transport. FTP-uploaded Images should become extImages and files should become extfile-objects. Please can you give me detailed information about PUT_factory.py. Another problem with extFile-product: A 2,8 MB-File can uploaded via http with no probs, the upload of bigger files (6 MB, 14 MB) stops with time-out. Any idea? Sincerely M. Koelle

Disk Space Question...

Hi you all, I have installed zope in a linux machine, but it'm starting to have not enough free space at disk. This is my disk partition information: Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/hda1 3.4G 3.2G 24M 99% / /dev/hda6 15G 1.8G 12G 13% /home /dev/hdb5 5.9G 8.0k 5.6G 0% /opt I have Zope installed in hda1(99% used). Is there any way of changing the location of data.fs?? Can I reasign the partition table without data lost?? Document Template Parse Error

Using Zope 2.4.3, I am receiving a "Document Template Parse Error" when trying to use a dtml-let tag in a DTML Document. The content for the site was copied from a Zope 2.5 server using ZSyncer. When I add a new document and try to use a simple dtml-let tag such as the following: <dtml-let myval="my value"> <dtml-var myval> </dtml-let> I get the error listed below.
