Hello, I have a website http://www.fpc-stillwater.org with the site in zope. It is running through zope and sending it to zope, where the site sits. In my httpd.conf file I have: RewriteRule ^/(.*) http://www.fpc-stillwater.org:9673/fpc/$1 [P,L,R] The problem is, when I goto for example http://www.fpc-stillwater.org/about/index.html my link in html is <a href="../index.html"> which should goto http://www.fpc-stillwater.org/index.html but when I click on it it goes to http://www.fpc-stillwater.org/about/index.html. It is as if zope ignores any '../'. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance for your help. Thanks, Matt

zope, python, and double underscores

hi. can anyone tell me why in the world zope gives me these snide "__init__" is an invalid variable name because it starts with "_" "__repr__" is an invalid variable name because it starts with "_" "__name__" is an invalid variable name because it starts with "_" errors when i try to run a script that works outside of zope. i'm relatively new to zope, and very new to python. nevertheless, i know that i'm using __init__, __name__, and __repr__ correctly. thanks, adam

I am very new, and just trying to set up the ZMySQLDA adapter and MySQL-python driver. As per the instructions I am trying to compile the drivers. I entered "python setup.py build" I get the following error: trackback (intermost last): File "setup.py", line 6, in ? from distutils.core import setup ImportError: No Module named distutils.core. cronjob for ZSyncer

zcatalog search limitations?

Howdy, I've begun using ZCatalogs and I really like them. I've run into a problem though. I've indexed about 10,000 folders, and I'm trying to query using the "path" to the objects. It seems like I can only look in a maximum of 32 paths before I get a Zope error (error traceback at the bottom). Are there any ideas on how to get around this limitation? I'm going to try and figure out where this error message is getting thrown, but my first glance into the PluginIndexes/PathIndex source didn't get me very far. specify passive ports for ftp

Hi I have a problem using Zope passive ftp. * We have configured our firewall for high security. * The problem is using passive ftp because one can not know wich ports being used for communication. * Opening all high ports on the firewall is not an option. Is it possible to specify which ports Zope er allowed to use for passive ftp (like you edit 'ftpaccess' for other ftp servers), so that we can reconfigure the firewall for these ports? What security settings does ZWiki need

distutils is not included in python 1.5.2, only later pythons have that preinstalled. You need a newer python or you need to go to www.python.org and get the disutils package for python 1.5.2 Better yet, The new binary version of Zope 2.5.0 comes with Python 2.1.2 but you may want to build python yourself so you can add neat things like PIL and ZGDchart. for graphing your data in mysql.
