Hello Zope'ers, I am trying to setup Zope with Apache in front just to play around. I set it up to use FastCGI and /tmp/zope.soc for the connection. However when I go to http://zope.everybox.com/manage I don't get the manage screen...I do get it if I go to http://zope.everybox.com/*/manage How do I make it so that http://zope.everybox.com/ is the root-zope directory... Newbie Tutorial?

I am researching WEB Application servers with the goal to select one for a project. I have read much on Zope online and would like to get my feet wet but I see no online docs/tutorial for a complete Zope newbie. I see there is a book, but I only want to get my feet wet to see how it works in practice. But I don't even know how to log into Zope after installing it. Dan

How to prevent concurrent access to the same object?

Hi! Is it possible to make a zope object which doesn't allow simultaneous access to itself? I mean that if two users call methods of the same object then only one call will process at a time and the other one will wait untill the first call will finish. I tried to fix it up with unix semaphores but with no success. -- Alexei

First, your command line is incorrect. There is a required parameter 'cmd' that your command line is missing. No loss, though. ZopeMake doesn't properly handle such options. There are several bugs in ZopeMake. It appears in the code that it doesn't set the cmd variable that it looks for... :( I patched that code a long time ago, so my name is still in the comments. I add additional patching to my list of things todo. For the moment, you'll have to survive without ZopeMake working. Python script and mysql

Hi, Has anyone done any work using Mysql in python script? I am particularly interested in createing forms and updateing forms based on the content of the table, ie different tables containing different schemas - then build data entry and updating on the fly Any Refs, pointers, examples welcome TIA David Kyte

Newbie Question and folderish objects.

I assume it is possible to have multi-level folderish objects. I would like to create an object that would dynamicly create subfolders and dtml methods in the subfolders. Could someone point me to a example product add in that does this.
