Okay, I scanned ahead and didn't see a reply to this problem, so I'll take a stab at it. My first guess was that the problem with the following line: <dtml-var expr="selectDate_dtml(_.None,_,id='s',default=_.DateTime('2002/02/08'))"> was that with the default= syntax, the function is being passed as an address, rather than being called. However, that doesn't explain why it does work without a parameter. What I would suggest, if the default parameter is _always_ the result of a DateTime call, move the DateTime call into the python script and pass the default parameter to it. Hope that helps. Last-modified date across all objects?

Hi folks, Thanks to those who gave me a hand sorting out image URLs a couple of weeks ago ... things have moved on a little. ;) The site which I am converting into Zope currently has a last-updated tag on some of its pages. They'd like to keep that. Now, I have figured out how to display the last-modified-time/date of the main index_html object - so far, so good - but that only shows the time that index_html _itself_ was updated; not any of the DTML methods that it references. I'm guessing that it wouldn't be too difficult to write a bit of DTML which iterated across all of the DTML methods, but what I want to avoid is having to list all of those methods explicitly. Is there some way of getting a list of all DTML methods referenced from a page (possibly including nested references) automatically? examples of custom CMF workflows

Are there any good examples of using CMF workflows to accomplish "other" things like user registration or really anything besides the "default" reviewer workflow. Just trying to get some idea of how i can use it and customize for tasks like custom user registration / publishing etc.. Thanks. -joe

viewing methods and docs

In Zope I've had some difficulty editing DTML methods and DMTL docs. It only happens in the Squisdot product, and I don't know why. I can update changes, but every time i press save all the text in the management screen editor disappears. This makes it very difficult to make quick minor tweaks. The thing is everything else works fine and you can edit and view the dtml source for everything but the squishdot site. The "correct" version of python for running Zope 2.5.0 stably can be had in RPM format here: http://www.python.org/2.1.2/rpms.html I'd suggest downloading and "rpm --rebuild"ing python2.1-2.1.2-1.src.rpm Python 2.1.2 installs as "python2.1" and can therefore coexist with python 1.5.2 "python" and python 2.2 "python2" As far as Zope 2.5.0 goes... I will be releasing a Zope 2.5.0 src RPM to Jeff Rush shortly. After he QAs, fixes and blesses that src RPM I imagine some new RPMs will appear at: http://www.taupro.com/Downloads/Zope/ This should all happen (hopefully) within the next week or so. Zope 2.5.0 and Postgresql

Hello, I have installed the ZPsycopgDA to access a Postgresql database. Everything (configure/make/make install/make install-zope) went fine but when I start Zope I receive the folloing error: 2002-02-09T15:45:24 ERROR(200) Zope Couldn't install ZPsycopgDA Traceback (innermost last): File /usr/local/Zope-2.5.0-linux2-x86/lib/python/OFS/Application.py, line 637, in install_product (Object: Zope) (Info: ZPsycopgDA) File /usr/local/zope/lib/python/Products/ZPsycopgDA/__init__.py, line 109, in initialize File /usr/local/Zope-2.5.0-linux2-x86/lib/python/App/ProductContext.py, line 94, in registerClass TypeError: unsubscriptable object I use Zope 2.5.0 and I have tested it with two plattforms: 1. FreeBSD with Zope and Python from the source 2. Debian 2.2 (Potato) with a pre-packaged Zope. On both Systems I receive the same error message. What went wrong? Thanks for your help. docs for invoking 2nd version of python

I am using RedHat 7.2 with python 1.5.2.rpm. I want to use Zope ver 2.5 , which I believe uses python 2.1. I have been told I can install 2.1 on the same box, and tell Zope to use it. I have looked around for docs on this, but must not know my way around the archives. Using images from my_Product

Hi, I have the next structure in my product My_Product /My_Product /www /page.dtml ... /img /my_img.gif ... /My_Pruduct.py ... I've define in My_Product.py a python class with the same name and inside this class I define what I show next: my_img = ImageFile('img/my_img.gif', globals()) In page.dtml I try to insert my_img with this sintax: <dtml-var my_img> This doesn't work. my_img appear as a broken image when I saw page.dtml This work when I use the same method to insert a piece of code DTML but doesn't work with an image. zope 2.5.0 install problem

Hi, I'm running a Linux Slackware 7.1 box over SSH. I'm trying to get Zope 2.5.0 and CMF 1.2 installed so I can play physician beta-tester for Jon Edward's medzope project.
