Does anyone know of a way to format text such as adding leading zeros or spacing before or after? 9999 would equal leading zeros to 10 characters = 0000009999 1 Main St would contain spaces up to 20 characters. Is there anyway to do this in Zope?

Hi, i can not manage to add a ZSQLMethod. Cookies and Python Scripts

Hi, I am experiencing cookie 'weirdness' on Zope (V 2.5.1b1)... I have two python scripts that are called from within a DTML Method. The first, py_cookie_read(foo) attempts to read an existing cookie and returns 1 if a value is present or 0 if the value is not present. The second, py_cookie_set(foo) attempts to overwrite the cookie with a new value after an action has been taken (voting in a poll). The code I use to read from the cookie is as follows: poll_cookie = context.REQUEST.cookie['poll'] And the code I use to set the cookie is as follows: context.REQUEST.RESPONSE.setCookie('poll', new_poll_cookie, expires=expiry) - where new_poll_cookie and expiry are variables set in the same script. The 'weirdness' that am I experiencing is that the cookie is rarely set and certainly never read properly. The few times that I have observed it in the REQUEST list - it has appeared under 'form' variables and 'other' variables but never 'cookie' variables. I think it may have something to do with the 'context' under which I am trying to set and read the cookies even though both scripts are called from within the same DTML Method - perhaps the cookie is only associated with individual python scripts? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Searching a ZCatalog on more than one index

I have an object with properties "intro" and "content". I want a form with just one search field that will look for the keywords in either property. Is this possible? I could only find examples in the Zope Book for searching each property separately. T.

I am attempting to start and monitor ZEO with the daemontools package. The problem is that the Zope (-Z '') flag does not work with ZEO. Can anyone tell me how to get ZEO to run without starting the management process?

DTML-IN only over special documents??

Hi, I've got a question concerning dtml-in. I know that it is possible to loop only over DTML Documents in a folder containing objects of different type. But is it possible to loop only over documents, that id's e.g. start with 'mydoc' ??? Example-folder with the objects: mydoc1 mydoc35 picture567 picture33 mydoc98 So dtml-in shall only loop over 'mydoc1', 'mydoc35', 'mydoc98' How can I do that? TIA Marc

[HELP] How can i limit the size of Upload ?

Hello, I would like to know how can i limit the upload size of certains files in Zope. In fact, my Zope crashes when i upload .HQX files larger than 80 Mo : so i 'd like to limit the upload of these files (from HTTP and FTP) to something like 79 Mo. But only these type of files, not the others. Can someone help me ? Thanks in advance. Fred.

PYTHONPATH

I would like to do some Zope product development outside of the main Zope environment and need to set my PYTHONPATH correctly to pull in all the right modules. I have Zope installed at "/zope" and my path is currently: PYTHONPATH=zope/lib/python:zope/bin/lib: When I attempt to compile the line "from Interface import Base" I get an error that the module does not exist. I am following a tutorial in the zope developers guide... I have also tried importing other modules to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks.

name error : global name 'day' is not defined

Hi, One of my major problems in using zope now is to store value in a var for future use. I was able to get value for variable 'day' from my table through this: <dtml-in SQLgetDay> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('day', day)"> <dtml-var day> </dtml-in> This actually displayed the value of day with <dtml-var day> on this page. Meanwhile it keeps on giving me the error below each time I reffered to 'day' subseqeuently. Even though I defined cookies for variable 'day' which I called from the standard-html-header of those pages where 'day' is been refferenced. Error Type: NameError Error Value: global name 'day' is not defined.
