Sorting objectValues in ZPT ( CMF )

This is a tip for everyone else, of they want to do sorting in ZPT. Atleast for me the basic CMF skin didn't sort out the folders and files like I wanted, so I decided to add a small sort with lambda-expression. You can easily change it to sort with title or anything else. problems with examples in the Zope Book (Zope Zoo)

I got the zope book this last week, and this is my first introduction to using zope. I downloaded the latest version of zope on my Windows machine. I have it all working, and have been happy with it for a few days now. I made it through the zope tutorial, and the first few chapters in the book with no problem. In chapter four, I had one change that I figured out. In a Script(Python) "hasVisitedZoo", to use the cookies, REQUEST has to be set to container.REQUEST. I am guessing this must be something new in the later release or something. Anyways, I am now in chapter 5, and there is a navigation DTML method that is supposed to print links to the various folders. In my index_html, also it is supposed to print the folder name rather than the DTML Document name (index_html) from the figures. Did something change to make it where I have to specify what to use? I didn't find how to set a variable to the folder to be used yet, or I would have figured what should have been written. The interesting thing was that earlier in chapter 4, I had a <dtml-var title> in a file, and it put the folder name even though the document also had a title. (Feedbags if you know the book). While writing this email, I figured it out. I decided index_html would be a DTML Document rather than a Method. This difference was not pointed out in the book (at least the print version), if it is not in the online one with comments, I will add the comment myself. :-) It does say to create a DTML Method in the folder called index_html, I just started adding it, and thought to myself, this is document. Anyways, I needlessly spent hours trying to solve this. On with life. Thanks, -walter

If you look at the instructions for my Image_corepatch product (http://www.zope.org/Members/bowerymarc) there's something about that. Bottom line, put a link to PIL somewhere Zope's python interpreter will find it. My question is : How does it works. In fact I've some problems, because I use of French language ( Sorry, I'm ). If I want to find the word "Congrès", and someone have typed "Congres" or "congres" or "Congrès", then nothing happened. Do I have to write an extension for this ? Where I have to change it ? Linkmanagement ?

Hi, how could i make a perfect Linkmanagement ? I want to link contentobjects with other objects (like a href). Is there a way to make a linkmanagement? For example: Object with ID has the URLs http://www.staerd.de/bild1.gif http://www.staerd.de/job/bild1.gif ??? or something like ID 234234 = URL "relative URL" /bild1.gif" or "/job/bild1.gif" ?

Here is what I do, in page templates. I dont know if this is "best", but I know its working for me. I presume there is a similar way to do this in a DTML Method/Document. I have a stylesheet in my root folder, in this case called "style_sheet.css", and I refer to it via the following link statement: <link rel="stylesheet" href="" type="text/css" media="screen,print" tal:attributes="href python:path('here/style_sheet.css').absolute_url()"> What this gives me is the ability to override the stylesheet on a particular set of pages by having a "style_sheet.css" in the subfolder that those pages are in, without changing my page templates. This link statement is in a METAL macro that each page calls to get their header, so I actualy only have this link statement in one place. Hope this helps..... how to insert a Pagetemplate with dtml

hi there I tried to insert a pagetemplate "indexPageHead" into a dtml-method <dtml-var expr="indexPageHead"> but the only thing i get back is: <html> <ZopePageTemplate instance at 1f6d8c0> <body> is it possible to insert pagetemplates into dtml-methods or dtml-documents at all? how? thx for any help daniel
