Hi, We've some documents in valid XHTML, using only H?, A, B, I, UL, OL, LI, CODE, PRE and P tags. Programmers like STX better than HTML, so I'm looking for any scripts out there that can convert this into STX fairly easily. Just trying to avoid writing one using SGMLLIB :-) -vsb

dtml-tree

Hi there, I have some trouble with <dtml-tree>. Imagine i have the following directory structure: 1 1/2 1/2/3 1/3/4/5 1/4/5/6/7/8/9/10 1/5/6 1/7/8/9/10/11/12/13/14 I am in 1/3/4/5/6/7/8 and from there i call <dtml-tree>. The result of that would be the display of the tree starting from 9. How can i call dtml-tree and tell him that i want to display all the tree structure starting from the root "1". I want to call <dtml-tree> from anywhere in the site, and be able to display all the site. I have read the documentation about dtml-tree and there is an attribute called "url", but i do not know how to use it. I have tried to enclose the dtml-tree into a dtml-with, but it doesn't work. I have given to the attribute url the value "1", but it still doesn't work. Could anyone help me, please? Thanks a lot. Jesus

weird, zpt security problem?

all, I have a problem and need someone to verify it for me, just so's I know I'm not going insane. Here's what I did: 1. Create a folder in the root, call it folder1 2. Create a new role in folder1, call it member 3. Create a user folder within folder1, and create a user in there with member role 5. create a folder within folder1, call it folder2 4. change the security for folder2 to turn off aqcuisition for the 'Access contents information' and 'view' and explicitly turn them on for the new member role and manager 6. create a zope page template within folder2, call it index_html keeping the default content now start another browser and try and view the /folder1/folder2/index_html as the user you created earlier At this point I can't login with anything but a user with manager role, the member who should have enough access (and would have with a dtml method in place of the zpt), can't see this page at all. critical sections

Hi, Sorry that this is really a Python-specific problem, but I'm running Python 2.1.2, and for the following stub: import mutex lock = mutex() I get the following interpreter error: TypeError: object of type 'module' is not callable This IS extremely basic, but can someone tell me what is so special about this class??? I've even trolled the entire Python source code base, and there is nowhere that this module is used for me to see how to constuct an instance. FunctionalTests problem

Hello, I'm trying to use FunctionalTest, and am facing some strangeness with LoggingProxy. * I have Zope 2.5.1b1 and a separate INSTANCE_HOME with a recent CMF. * I have put FunctionalTests in lib/python * I run LoggingProxy with this .bat file set INSTANCE_HOME=D:\MY_INSTANCE_HOME "D:\ZOPE_HOME\251b1\bin\python.exe" "D:\ZOPE_HOME\251b1\lib\python\FunctionalTests\LoggingProxy.py" -v -p 8089 -l D:\scenario_requests -f scenario1 So i have a proxy running @ :8089 and a zope @ :10080 on my laptop. A - If i go (no browser proxy) to the root of my CMF site at http://localhost:10080/cmf all is fine and i can navigate just ok. B - I setup the browser for using localhost:8089 as proxy, and I try to go to the root of my CMF site http://localhost:10080/cmf then : 1 - With opera, the proxy is ignored 2 - with IE4 the proxy works, but i can't get any page served. On the console i have a report of the http request, and a file scenarioXX.out are created but empty. 3 - with Netscape a lot of scenarioXX.out files are created, but the browser is just iterating on "/cmf/zpt_stylesheet". Do i made some mistakes in the setup ? Do i have to use a special browser ? Is there a problem on windows ? Thanks for any tip and/or help for solving this. I will summarize as usual. We plan on doing another upgrade to the mail server mail.python.org, a.k.a. lists.zope.org on Wednesday 10-Apr-2002, at 11am -0400 (EDT, US/Eastern). We will be upgrading to Exim 4, and this will affect all mail and mailing lists on the python.org and zope.org domains. Downtime should be minimal; if all goes well, just 15-30 minutes. You shouldn't even notice it.
