Sort by key in dtml-in loop over dictionary

Hi everybody! I have a dtml-in loop which iterates over a dictionary : <dtml-in collectionOfStr1s sort=title> <dtml-var "collectionOfStr1s[_['sequence-index']]['title']"> <dtml-var "collectionOfStr1s[_['sequence-index']][''ancestor']"> </dtml-in> The "collectionOfStr1s" dictionary was previously fed with successive dtml-calls : <dtml-call "collectionOfStr1s.append({''ancestor':ancestor, 'title':title})"> etc. Everything works fine except that the result of the dtml-in loop is always unsorted (at least certainly not by title : it just spits out the dictionary entries in the order in which they were entered. I have a feeling I am missing something stupid but essential... Could you help me? Pierre Godefroy

Simple RCS Question

Hello Zopers, I need to update my xmlrpclib.py module so that it can marshal the DateTime datatype. I found a patch here: http://www.zope.org/Members/peterb/xml-rpc but it is a RCS file and Ive never used RCS before. I downloaded a few different windows based RCS tools but after an hour of guessing I cant see any obvious way to merge this with my existing xmlrpclib.py module. how to create brain instance in python???

Greetings, I have need to create a brain instance in a python script. How do i do this? The reason is, that i want to return to a page template from a python script a brain instance that is either the result of a catalog query, or an empty/default instance. Then, the template can fill a form field with either the retrieved values or defaults. The Catalog currently contains only objects of a single Meta Type. get_transaction() ?

I am trying to call get_transaction() from a Python script in Zope 2.5.0 but I just get the error that global name 'get_transaction' is not defined. All the docs I can see say that it is built in, so how do I convince my script to call it? We need to use the DCOracle2 Product for authentication (the Zope DA/authentication story is a whole 'nother issue), so we really want to use ZSQL methods. Even if I can use the DCO2 product from Python without ZSQL method objects (which I probably can, I'd just have to figure it out), there is the issue of customization of report data. Splitting presentation and content will make it easy to provide new faces over the same data, but I also need to specialize data. It will all fall back into my lap, since it's all python (and therefore "real" code requiring a "real" engineer to modify it). Each new customer will require subclasses of the presenter and data classes. Even more confusing to me is what kind of python would this be? A product? 4 products? External methods?

I'm sorry to have to post this request, but I'm lost behind python syntax again. This works: <dtml-with "folder1.folder2"><dtml-var index_html></dtml-with> This doesn't: <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('sName', 'folder1.folder2')"> <dtml-with "_[sName]"><dtml-var index_html></dtml-with> Nor does: <dtml-with "_.getitem(sName)"><dtml-var index_html></dtml-with> What am I missing?
