Help using ClassSecurityInfo...

Hi , i have a problem using ClassSecurityInfo in my python product for CMF. In my product i use the sintax below: --------------------------------------------- class my_class(Implicit, Persistent, RoleManager, Item): meta_type = 'my_type' security = ClassSecurityInfo() security.setPermissionDefault('my permission', ('role1, 'role2')) ... ... Globals.InitializeClass(my_class) --------------------------------------------- when i first instance the product the permission specified in setPermissionDefault are not set at all. I'm using Zope 2.5 on a Debian box w/ Postgresql and loving it. Getting the drivers in was a pain but w/ persistence it paid off. I used the Znolk product to create forms from Postgres tables and I'm a hero. I have alot of Oracle help and pgadmin II and Postgres ODBC w/ Windoze2k works great to use MS Access. Don't know much else... but Postgresql seemed to be the DBA's Open Source choice after using Oracle in business. It's all up to how you have to support it in my mind. Too many contortions = too much time to deliver. DBase recommendation

I know this is a bit off topic, but I plan to change my zopeback end database from MySQL. Need subselects and dynamic replication. Any recommendations between PostGres and Interbase. Compatibility with zope251 a must. Any comments TIA Dave

Rendering files with exception

Hi all, I want to show structured text files uploaded via FTP, many files in one directory rendered as single file with standard header and footer. But if in directory exist an index.htm file (exception), then current index.htm file was shown without header and footer instead render of STX documents. This sys_list-item DTML method works: <dtml-in expr="objectValues('DTML Document')"> <dtml-if "hasProperty('hide')"><dtml-else> <dtml-var sequence-item fmt=structured-text> </dtml-if> </dtml-in> But follows few snippets does not works optimally. It does render index.htm with header and footer or does not render STX and show index.htm correctly etc. Does somebody know where I make error? You need to install it in the Zope version of python. Run setup in the ZMySQLDA directory with the version of python you are using for Zope.
