Newbie questions: Calling PageTemplates from Python, and getting meta-info on ZSQL method results

Hi, I've got a couple of newbie-questions. 1. I want to call a PageTemplate from a Python script, and pass in parameters. How can I access those parameters in the PageTemplate? 2. How can I find out the fields which are in the resultset of a ZSQL method, using either Python or PageTemplates? I do: SELECT * FROM employees. I know that the table employees contains the fields emp_id, first, last, salary so I can code for it. But it would be nices and more generic if I could infer from the resultset itself what fields it has, and to extract them dynamically instead of coded into the PageTemplate. That way I could make a generic PageTemplate that works for any ZSQL method result. 3. How do I install the MySQLdb driver on Win2k? The installer only finds my Python21 installation, and not my Zope installation and it doesn't give me the option to enter a directory manually. I don't have MSVC++ compilers installed, only gcc from cygwin, so I don't think that compiling it myself will work. Any hints from anyone? With thanks, --Tim

Unable to add Plone Site

I've installed Plone 0.9.9 (with Zope 2.5.1, CMF 1.3, Python 2.1.3, Win2000), but am unable to add a "Plone Site" through the ZMI. The only Plone options that appear in the "Add Object" drop-down are "Plone Content" and "Plone Tool." The "Plone Site" option is conspicuously missing. Where am I going wrong? [HELP] ExternalEdit problem with MS Word 2000

Hello, I use Zope External Edit product. It works fine, but i have a problem : My users uses MS Word 2000 has HTML editor, when i leave Word, ExternalEdit doesn't save the document on my Zope's site and always show the following message : FATAL ERROR : [Errno 9] Bad file descriptor - My OS is Windows 2000 - I use the binary version of zopeEdit "zopeedit-win32-0.4.2.exe" - We use Word 2000 - I configured the "ZopeEdit.ini" like this : editor = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\WINWORD.EXE /newinstance save_interval = 0 cleanup_files = 0 use_locks = 0 Can anyone help me, because i do think ExternalEdit is a great product and i want to use it in order to edit my WebContent. Hi, I have come across a strange problem. I have created a Zope application to collect information through a Zope form. The input form works. I also give the users the ability to update. But I notice something strange. <tr> <td width="27%">Item Number Required:</td> <td width="73%"> <input type="text" name="item_num_required" size="50" value=<dtml-var item_num_required>> </td> </tr> When get the record only the first word in the field will appear. But if I use this - <tr> <td width="27%">Part Number Required:</td> <td width="73%"> <textarea name="part_num_required" rows="1" cols="50"><dtml-var part_num_required> </textarea> </td> </tr> I see the entire field using this method. ZClass called index_html containing index_html method

I have a ZClass that has a view method. So if I have an instance of the class called myZclass it can be called by itself and show the view method (myZclass/index_html in reality). But when I call the ZClass index_html, it doesn't like it very much. Resource not found Sorry, the requested resource does not exist. Check the URL and try again. But index_html/index_html does work. Any tips? I would like to automatically call the view method so should I call it something else or add some magic to my ZClass? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
