Changing document type how-to: another idea

Hi, It exist a mini-how-to (I loose URL) about changing document type via ZMI. But it is not useable for many documents. After I was uninstall "HTML Document" product, I have lot of files that have "HTML Document" type instead of File or "DTML Document". I have try another method via FTP to change into "DTML Document". 1. copy files from Zope via FTP to local filesystem 2. delete files in Zope (via FTP) 3. and copy files from local back to Zope via FTP But these throw away all properties (same as method in mini-how-to) and does not allow to change into another than "DTML Document". Webadmin for PostGreSQL?

xml-rpc client for zope w/cookie authentication

Like the subject says, I am looking to make a command-line-based xml-rpc client (in python) to talk to my zope server. I am using SMB auth via loginmanager so would need to work in the cookie authentication somehow. Anyone impliment this yet? I don't want to re-invent the wheel...

Zope service providers- please recommend

Hi, I am looking for a zope hosting provider and can use recommendations. I currently have 4 virtual domains and use mysql. I am having some concern about stability of my provider relating to backups and uptime. I want to expand my web offerings to include sql data and ecommerce and need to count on good backups of my user directory and sql database.

So I used zpasswd.py to change the inituser password, but for some reason I can still not log in. Authentication failed...would you like to try again..blahblah. I have tried this several times with diferrent username password cobinations(real simple ones) so no fingertrouble. After using zpasswd.py I verify that it actually did change the inituser wich it has, but no entry allowed. -------------------------------------------------------

(I know it's a stupid question because I found the answer about a year ago when I tried to install ZMySQLDA. But I spent 2 hours now and I can't find it again...) UnboundLocalError (Zope bug?)

Hi, after some modifications in my project the following error occurred (Zope 2.5.1):  I don't understand exactly why this code is run in my case, but looking at HTTPRequest.py, line 640, it looks buggy: while not a=='': a=a.split( ":") a,new=':'.join(a[:-1]), a[-1] attr = new If a == '', new is never assigned.
