Hello, I've a TextIndex on title (Zope 2.5.0). When the title has a value "Restoration Discretionary Programs--Sections 1135, 204, and 206" The index has the value ('restoration', 'and', 'programssections', 'discretionary') As you can see 1135, 204, 206 are not in the index. Is there a quick way to get ZCatalog to consider all words for indexing? Thanks -vsb http://vsbabu.org/

Using pythonbased products (rbickers Photo) from Page Templates

Hi, I am banging my head against the wall trying to figure out how I would best use rbickers Photo-Product from Page Templates, but I guess the problem is the same for any Zope-Product that does not come with ZPT-Support out of the box. I guess, one can use the Photo product without any real problem, for example, I can do <a Href="#" tal:attributes="href string:${my_batch/id}/view"> <img src="image.jpg" tal:attributes="src string:${my_batch/id}?display=thumbnail"> </a> to show the thumbnails of my Photos and link to the "view" method, but is this really TAL??? I am able to call some methods on the PhotoObjects as well like <ul> <li tal:repeat="displays here/displayLinks" tal:content="structure displays">Link to a size</li> </ul> To get the links to different size-links... ...but how would I express <dtml-var "tag(display=REQUEST.get('display', 'small'), border=0, cookie=1)"> in TAL to get the cookie-enabled version of the Photo??? In general, what's the best way to learn how to use existing products in Templates?? Thanks in advance Jochen

Serving proxy content from zope

No -- It is not one of those how do I reverse proxy from apache to access Zope. I want to do other way round. That is, I have a perfectly functioning zope server on port 80. I have, for legacy reasons, some apache servers. I want to serve content from them as a part of the zope server. Problems: 1. There does not seem to be a way to proxy external content into zope, as smoothly as proxypass does. 2. Even if it does, there seems to be the issue of urls in the external content. Eg: Suppose somehow I manage to get the extenal content and serve it as under the url /server1. Now suppose the external content has a link "/mystuff" in some text. I would have liked it to show up as "/server1/mystuff", so that all of it works out. How can I do that? Thanks in advance. Rama PS: Btw, what I am doing is not so crazy. Zope gives me all the integration I need with fine grained security mechanism I need. I just want to be able to use it, even if there is other dynamic content around. PPS: I searched the mailing lists, but apache and reverse proxy brings up too many references to how to run zope behind apache!

Hm, when I had the problem it was across all of my photo folders, not just a few, it was due to imagemagick. Sorry I can't help more... Unicode/string question

I'm having unicode troubles, and I'm not sure if I'm running into a "Zope doesn't do that" problem or perhaps I'm just an idiot. Basically, I've an external method called xmlheadparse, which returns a list of lists of headlines and URLs, given a an xml file on our server. [[Headline here, url here],[headline2 here, url2 here]] I process the list into an html page of links with the following Zope Python script, where urlfeed is the name of the xml file I want to display: returnedhtml="" storypooge=context.xmlheadparse('/var/www/ap/'+urlfeed) for x in range(len(storypooge)): returnedhtml=returnedhtml+'&#149 <a href="/News/apmethods/apstory?urlfeed=' url=context.nntpnamestripper(storypooge[x][1]) headline=storypooge[x][0] returnedhtml=returnedhtml+url+'">'+headline+'</a><br />\n' return returnedhtml This works fine with English text, but I also have Spanish headlines in some of the files. When run through this script, I get the following error: Error Type: UnicodeError Error Value: ASCII encoding error: ordinal not in range(128) The weird thing is, I can get just the unicode headline to display, but not concatenated into the rest of the stuff. I can't seem to encode all of the pieces into the same format. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Chris
